You help maintain and further develop geospatial platforms, datasets and analytical capabilities, and you translate business needs into dependable geospatial solutions.\nYou join an established geospatial team and work on the maintenance and improvement of datasets, spatial processing flows and interactive mapping services.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build and maintain geospatial data integration and transformation workflows with FME and related technologies.\nManage, maintain and optimize geospatial datasets and data models in PostgreSQL/PostGIS environments.\nCarry out spatial analyses to support operational activities, strategic decisions and business requests.\nInterpret spatial patterns, trends and geographic information and turn them into useful insights for stakeholders.\nCreate thematic maps, spatial indicators and geospatial reporting outputs.\nSafeguard the quality, consistency and reliability of geospatial data assets.\nMaintain and enrich geospatial reference datasets.\nSupport business users in defining and implementing geospatial data requirements.\nContribute to the maintenance, administration and further evolution of the interactive mapping platform.\nImplement new maps, layers, functionalities and visualizations in line with business needs.\nInvestigate incidents, resolve data-related issues and help improve geospatial services on a continuous basis.\nProduce and keep technical and functional documentation up to date.\nWork closely with business teams, geodata engineers and data analysts in an Agile environment.\nYour profile\nYou have 3 to 7 years of professional experience in GIS, geospatial data engineering or geospatial analytics.\nYou bring proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS for geospatial data management, spatial querying and spatial SQL.\nYou have solid experience with FME for geospatial ETL, automation and data integration.\nYou have strong practical knowledge of QGIS for data editing, analysis, visualization and cartographic production.\nYou use Python for geospatial data processing, automation, analysis and the integration of GIS workflows.\nYou have experience performing spatial analysis and translating business questions into geospatial insights.\nYou have a good command of geospatial data modelling, spatial databases and SQL.\nYou understand geospatial analysis methods and cartographic principles well.\nYou have experience with the management and publication of geospatial information through web mapping platforms.\nYou can collect business requirements and convert them into sustainable geospatial solutions.\nYou have experience supporting and evolving operational geospatial applications.\nYou work independently, in a structured way and with a service-oriented mindset.\nYou communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.\nYou are curious, proactive and comfortable working with guidance from a lead.\nEnglish is required for code, scripts and technical documentation. French is required for day-to-day interaction with stakeholders and colleagues. Dutch is a plus.\nAssets\nExperience with WebGIS platforms and OGC web services.\nKnowledge of libraries such as GDAL, GeoPandas, Shapely or equivalent tools.\nExperience with mobility, parking, transportation, infrastructure or smart city datasets.\nExperience designing geospatial dashboards and interactive map applications.\nKnowledge of data governance and metadata management practices.\nExperience working in the public sector.\nOffer\nYou will be part of a growing Belgian SME where initiative and personal development are encouraged.
