The people who join us understand what it takes to build something great-and want a real hand in shaping it.\nWho You Are\nAs a Senior Power BI Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that turn complex data into meaningful insights.\nYou’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and other consultants to understand business requirements, develop reporting strategies, and deliver intuitive dashboards and analytics solutions.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of a BI solution from requirements gathering through development, deployment, and ongoing optimization.\nWhat You'll Do (Responsibilities)\nDesign and develop complexPower BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for enterprise clients.\n\nTranslate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions.\n\nBuild and optimize data models using Power BI and related Microsoft technologies.\n\nDevelop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.\n\nUse Power Query (M) for data transformation and preparation.\n\nConnect Power BI to a variety of data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, SharePoint, Excel, and cloud-based sources.\n\nDevelop scalable and high-performing semantic models.\n\nImplement Power BI security, including row-level security (RLS).\n\nOptimize reports, queries, and data models for performance.\n\nManage Power BI workspaces, deployments, datasets, and refresh schedules.\n\nPartner with stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend appropriate reporting solutions.\n\nCollaborate with data engineers and technical teams on data architecture and integration.\n\nSupport testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers when needed.\n\nStay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities and recommend new technologies where appropriate.\n\nWhat You Know (Qualifications)\n\n5+ years of experience developing business intelligence or data analytics solutions.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.\n\nAdvanced proficiency with DAX.\n\nStrong experience with Power Query/M.\n\nStrong understanding of data modeling, including star schemas, relationships, dimensions, and fact tables.\n\nExperience working with SQL and relational databases.\n\nExperience integrating Power BI with multiple data sources.\n\nExperience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, deployment, refreshes, and security.\n\nExperience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS).\n\nStrong understanding of BI development best practices and performance optimization.\n\nAbility to translate technical concepts and data into clear business insights.\n\nStrong communication and client-facing skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader consulting team.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric.\n\nExperience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake.\n\nExperience with Dataverse and Power Platform.\n\nExperience integrating Power BI with Dynamics 365.\n\nExperience with Power Automate.\n\nExperience with APIs and custom data connectors.\n\nExperience with enterprise data warehouses.\n\nExperience working in a Microsoft consulting or professional services environment.\n\nMicrosoft certifications such as PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst or related certifications.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range $150,000 - $175,000 depending on experience\nBenefits include:\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\nUnlimited PTO\nProfessional Development budget\nCompany sponsored events\nSound like you?
