Whether it’s better utilizing your current warehouse space, overhauling your order picking system or creating a rack-supported storage facility from the ground up, we pride ourselves in our ability to create customer-specific storage solutions that fit your budget and your unique needs.\nPosition Summary\nPosition: Roll Form Operator\nReports to: Operations Manager\nLocation: Easley, SC\nThe Roll Form Operator is responsible for safely operating roll forming equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet production and customer specifications. This role ensures proper machine setup, monitors product quality throughout the manufacturing process, performs routine inspections, and supports efficient production flow. The Roll Form Operator plays a key role in maintaining safety, minimizing scrap, and ensuring consistent product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAreas of Responsibilities\nOperate roll forming machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.\nSet up tooling, adjust machine settings, and verify proper machine operation before and during production runs.\nRead and interpret production orders, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.\nPerform in-process quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.\nMonitor product quality for dimensional accuracy, profile consistency, and overall conformance to specifications.\nIdentify and troubleshoot minor machine issues, material feed problems, or tooling concerns, escalating issues when necessary.\nAssist with coil loading and material handling using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment as authorized.\nComplete production records including output, scrap, downtime, and quality documentation.\nPerform daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance tasks.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.\nFollow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout, and OSHA regulations.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, uptime, and waste reduction.\nCollaborate with team members, quality personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.\nSkills and Abilities\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operation.\nAbility to accurately read measuring devices to 1/32 inch or better.\nAbility to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.\nKnowledge of stud, track, or structural metal profiles is preferred.\nFamiliarity with quality inspection processes and dimensional verification.\nBasic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nEducation and/or Training\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nManufacturing experience preferred; roll forming, metal fabrication, or steel framing experience strongly preferred.\nExperience operating industrial machinery in a production environment preferred.\nForklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.\nStrong understanding of roll forming processes, tooling, materials, and machine setup.\nExperience reading and interpreting production drawings, specifications, and work instructions.\nFamiliarity with safety standards, including lockout/tagout, and manufacturing best practices.\nBasic computer skills for production reporting and system navigation.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nThe Roll Form Operator works in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures. This position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. The ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 pounds is required.
