If you're ready to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the material handling industry, apply now and become part of our exciting journey!\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nPosition: Senior Manufacturing Engineer Continuous Improvement\nReports to: Engineering Manager\nLocation: Easley, SC\nAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe Manufacturing Engineer Continuous Improvement is responsible for improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across structural steel roll forming, punching, welding, and assembly operations. This position serves as the manufacturing process owner by developing standardized processes, leading Lean initiatives, supporting new product introductions, and partnering with Operations to improve manufacturing performance. The role is highly hands-on and requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nLead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.\nFacilitate Kaizen events and drive waste elimination.\nImprove Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), labor productivity, and manufacturing flow.\nReduce setup times using SMED and standardized work.\nLead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.\nDevelop manufacturing routings, work instructions, and process documentation.\nSupport Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and new product introductions.\nOptimize structural steel roll forming processes and improve equipment utilization.\nPartner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, and Design Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.\nSupport capital equipment implementation and process validation.\nEDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.\n5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred; internships and co-op experience considered.\nExperience in structural steel, roll forming, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing preferred.\nPreferred Technical Skills\nLean Manufacturing\nContinuous Improvement\nKaizen\n5S\nSMED\nValue Stream Mapping\nRoot Cause Analysis\nStandard Work Development\nStatistical Process Control (SPC)\nAutodesk Inventor\nMicrosoft Excel\nERP/MRP systems\nKey Performance Indicators\nSafety improvements\nScrap reduction\nOEE improvement\nSetup time reduction\nManufacturing cost reduction\nOn-time product launches\nStandardization of manufacturing processes\nSuccessful completion of continuous improvement projects\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role is based in an office setting, with most of the work conducted on the manufacturing floor supporting production and process improvements. Limited travel may be required for customer meetings or project site visits.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis position involves sitting and standing for extended periods while working at a computer. Some tasks may require walking or standing on the production floor to review equipment or project builds. Must be able to work safely around moving equipment and wear required PPE.
