Apply today!\nResponsibilities\nTransport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance• Meet delivery schedules• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures• Collect and verify delivery instructions• Pickup full trailer loads from one location and delivers them to destination location on a daily basis.• Ensure timely and safe delivery of all loads.• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.• Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries.• Occasional help with offloading materials at delivery sites.• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.• Report defects, accidents, or violations\nQualifications\nSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:\nHands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.).\nAbility to drive long hours and travel regularly.\nExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.\nNo recent moving or driving violations.\nAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) \nGood communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and clients.\nEducation and Experience:\nValid truck driving license\nActive Medical Card \nDriver’s License Class A or B CDL is required\nTwo years’ driving experience.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of driving \nMust be able to lift 50-100 pounds with assistance. Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment \nPerform tasks such as lifting 15 pounds at a time, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment \nPhysical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours. \nOptional Initial Priorities:\nThe physical demands described henceforth are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
