We believe in a flexible working environment that values work-life balance while encouraging efficiency and creativity on a daily basis.\nDiscover an employer who takes care of its greatest asset: its employees!\nCanada\nLAPORTE is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis.\nThis hybrid position is available in all of our office locations in Canada.\nReporting to the Lead Engineer, our Refrigeration Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of refrigeration systems for food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotech process systems.\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate on the design and analysis of refrigeration plants and systems;\nPerform CAD drafting of refrigeration system schematics and layouts in AutoCAD;\nSupervise and perform drafting of refrigeration system schematics and layouts in Revit and/or Plant3D;\nConduct safety and code compliance audits;\nParticipate in developing refrigeration-related SOPs, HAZOPS, and other safety analyses;\nConduct site inspections of refrigeration systems;\nWrite, format, and proofread specifications, proposals, reports, templates, and other documents;\nOrganize and maintain project records;\nProvide support and build relationships with new and existing clients;\nCollaborate with internal and external team members to ensure project success.\nRequirements:\n1 to 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis;\nMember of a canadian provincial Engineering Association either as P.Eng or EIT\nFamiliarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems;\nKnowledge of refrigeration and piping codes and standards;\nDegree or diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or relevant qualifications in a related field;\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively;\nProficiency in technology-driven communication tools;\nAdvanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel;\nEnergetic, motivated, and solutions-oriented;\nAbility to travel internationally;\nReliable transportation and a valid driver’s license;\nKnowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, and P&ID software packages (an asset).\nBenefits - What We Have to Offer:\nCompetitive Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and industry standards;\n Health and Wellness Programs: Comprehensive group health insurance coverage from day one (medical, dental, vision, childcare);\nRetirement Plans: Employer-contributed RRSP plan at 4%;\nFlexible Work Arrangements: Hybrid work mode, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office;\n Professional Development: A work environment that encourages empowerment and professional growth.
