You’ll focus on improving resilience, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer experience, while driving standardisation through infrastructure as code and platform best practices.\nThis is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, WebApps, QA, and Security teams to build systems that are robust, observable, and aligned with AWS best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDesign, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on reusable modules and standardisation\nOperate and optimise AWS services including ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS/DLQ, CloudWatch, IAM\nDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy) for consistent, reliable deployments\nBuild and enhance observability frameworks (logging, monitoring, alerting) across distributed systems\nImplement and manage identity and access controls, including SSO and access brokering\nCollaborate with Security on platform hardening and integration with security tooling (e.g. SIEM, DLP)\nContribute to platform engineering initiatives\nDrive cost optimisation efforts across AWS (rightsizing, reserved capacity, scaling strategies, and cost visibility)\nTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes\nContinuously improve infrastructure through automation, documentation, and best practices\nWorking closely with Engineering team to design, deploy, harden and consistently keep secure containerisation and deployment\nWorking with Compliance teams on PCI DSS, ISO27001 and SOC2 standards, making sure infrastructure is compliant\nRequirements\nRequired:\nStrong experience as a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer in AWS environments\nDeep hands-on expertise with AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, etc.)\nStrong knowledge of AWS networking (VPC design, routing, security groups, NACLs, private/public architectures)\nProven experience with Terraform, including building reusable modules\nOpenness to and experience with infrastructure-as-code approaches, with Terraform preferred but alternative IaC tools considered\nSolid understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud best practices\nExperience designing and operating multi-region architectures\nStrong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy or similar)\nExperience with identity and access management, including SSO\nStrong Linux and containerisation knowledge (Docker, ECS)\nExperience building and maintaining observability and monitoring systems\nDesirable:\nExperience with security tooling integrations (SIEM, DLP, etc.)\nExperience working in regulated environments (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc.)\nExperience with Terraform automation tooling (e.g. Terraform Cloud, Atlantis)\nFamiliarity with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or self-service infrastructure models\nExperience with Cloudflare WAF or similar edge security tooling\nExposure to Kubernetes (EKS or Other)\nExposure to Kafka\nFamiliarity with MongoDB\nScripting or programming experience (any language;
