Join a growing, industry-leading aerospace manufacturer where your work makes an impact and your career can take off.\nPosition Description: The Aerospace Quality Inspector will perform in-process, final inspection and 1st article inspections of sheet metal fabrications, evaluate part to print specifications and understand the inspection methods used for inspection and support the manufacturing process and personnel, while adhering to the Quality Policy, ISO 9001/AS 9100 requirements. Position reports to the Quality Manager.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nStrong blueprint and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) comprehension\nAble to use inspection tools, such as micrometer, indicators, comparator, etc.\nDetailed to complete all paperwork, as required, including inspection reports\nAble to make mold casts to check ID dimensions on Fabricated and Machined parts.\nCan identify dimensional and visual defects\nExperienced with CMM or Vision inspection systems; able to run without supervision\nAble to understand and implement customer specifications and requirements\nAccuracy and attention to detail is highly important\nExperienced with completing 1st article inspections, in-process inspections and final inspections\nMust have strong knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements\nMust be able to know the importance of keeping material heats and types separate\nPerform other duties as required\nQualifications:\n5+ Years Aerospace/Manufacturing quality inspection experience\nProficient at reading blueprints\nKnowledge of dimensional symbols\nAbility to identify visual defects\nAbility to read micrometers, calipers and comparator\nKnowledge of measuring equipment\nAbility to work together for team effort\nTeam oriented\nOrganized and detail oriented\nAdhere to document control\nKnowledge of various inspection reports\nGeneral computer knowledge\nAbility to work without supervision\nOther Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess a US Citizenship.\nOccasionally lift up to 35 pounds.\nThe posted pay range reflects the range established in good faith for this position.
