If you are customer service oriented and highly motivated with a positive attitude, we hope you’ll consider joining our team.\nGENERAL SUMMARY\nThe management trainee's primary responsibility is to participate in training experiences, learn new skills, and to demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise with managerial responsibilities. The management trainee program will prepare the trainee for decisions s/he will be making, and the actions s/he will be taking in the areas of people management, operations management, and merchandising management when s/he assumes the role of store manager. The MIT assists Store Manager in all aspects of daily shift management by performing the following duties.\nPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssists Store Manager in all aspects of daily shift management, including customer relations, inventory control, procedural tasks and paperwork, as well as visual merchandising. \nMaintains both individual and shift sales.\nProvides daily shift floor coverage.\nTrains Sales Associates.\nSupervises POS.\nProvides security & loss prevention in store.\nMaintains company standards regarding personal and store sales/performance metrics.\nStock shelves and refrigerated coolers\nAssist manager in minimizing the loss of cash and inventory and operating within assigned shrink targets.\nLearn and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws within the scope of the convenience/food store operation\nShadow manager in day to day operations\nCustomer Service\nProvide the best customer experience to every customer\nGreet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting\nSuggest possible purchases to the customers and promote specials\nAssume full responsibility for the execution of Nouria’s customer service program at the site level\nSafety & Station Appearance \nResponsible for doing what is necessary to minimize the safety risks to employees, customers and suppliers. Assure that all site employees are adequately trained on safety policies and procedures and maintains adequate controls to verify compliance to these\nAssure all environmental and hazardous material regulations are strictly enforced\nMaintain safety and security of the store and document any accidents or incidents that occur\nManage the maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the perimeter of the store\nOperate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently\nsupport implementation of the Nouria Safety and Health program\nPromptly Report and investigate workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses involving employees within the location\nComplete the new employee safety orientation procedure with all new or transferred employees working at the store\nRegularly inspect stores in your area of responsibility for workplace hazards and initiate corrective action immediately\nEncourage employees to report unsafe conditions or work practices and initiate corrective action\nPromote a quick return to work for employees under your supervision\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n1 year of supervisory experience in convenience store, retail, fast food, or restaurant operations\nAbility to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment\nHave strong leadership and interpersonal skills\nBe self-motivated, resourceful, creative, organized\nMust have an outgoing personality and approachable demeanor\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization\nMust be able to provide any level of coverage if needed, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays\nAbility to bend down, stoop low, and also stand for at least 8 hours\nAbility to properly lift, pull and/or push up to 30 lbs.\nSuccessful completion of certification testing as needed\nAn understanding of the importance of customer service and a commitment to delivering superior customer experiences is a must\nMS Outlook, Word, and Excel skills\nExcellent communication skills are essential\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nEnsures physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities\nPerforms other related duties as required\nMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times\nMust be able to traverse and access all areas of the store\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer\nProlonged periods of standing and working at a cash register\nBenefits: Eligible team members may participate in medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, paid holidays, company-paid life insurance, disability benefits, employee assistance programs, tuition assistance, and voluntary benefit offerings.
