Title\nElectrical & Instrumentation Technician\nBusiness\nMaintenance\nJob Purpose\nTo plan and organize the daily tasks of a team of Electricians to ensure efficient and effective completion of all required electrical maintenance work.\nPrincipal Accountabilities\n1) Task Delegation\nPrepare and disseminate the daily log of what tasks must be carried out by the Electricians and continuously monitor progress to ensure efficient planning and effective implementation of required work.\n2) Weekly Scheduling\nPrepare a weekly schedule of the tasks expected to be carried out in the forthcoming week to present it in the weekly planning meeting.\n3) High Voltage Isolation\nUpon receiving the request from the Operations Department, isolate the high voltage breakers (3.3kv & 11kv) to perform preventive maintenance in a safe manner.\n4) Updating of Drawings\nUpon receiving drawings from Draftsmen, apply necessary updates to ensure compliance with plant needs and limitations.\n5) Bid Tabs\nConduct technical analysis on the bid tabs, as per the request and directions of the Supervisor, and make recommendations to aid the decision process.\n6) Vendor Relationships\nAssist in defining scope of work for vendors, and provide oversight while delivery of service (if requested by Supervisor) to ensure that output is as per specifications and standards mentioned in the contract.\nEnsure that when the upgraded equipment arrives to the plant and is set up, it is functioning appropriately and as per DUGAS specifications to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the plant.\n7) Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures\nImplement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.\n8) Continuous Improvement\nContribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.\n9) MIS Reports\nPrepare departmental MIS statements and reports of DUGAS timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.\nProvide recommendations for the ordering of the spare parts, and recommend changes to the Min/Max levels of the warehouse for that particular inventory, to ensure optimization of cost and usage.\n10) Safety, Quality, and Environment\nEnsure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.\nAdditional Principal Accountabilities\nCyber Information Security Responsibilities\nComply with all applicable information security policies, standards, and procedures.\nClassify and protect information assets in accordance with the Data Classification Standard.\nParticipate in mandatory information security awareness and training programs.\nSupport information security initiatives and activities within the organization.\nConsider information security requirements when managing changes involving information assets.\nReport security incidents, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, or non-compliance in accordance with established procedures.\nFulfil role-specific information security responsibilities and contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).\nExperience\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDiploma in Electrical Engineering\nMinimum Experience:\n5 years of progressive working experience in electrical maintenance, particularly in high voltage electronics, preferably in
