This role is responsible for providing daily direction to the CNC programming function while developing, modifying, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs that support machining operations for orthopedic implant components and related medical device products.\nThe CNC Machine Programming Supervisor will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations to ensure CNC programs and machining processes are efficient, repeatable, compliant, and capable of meeting production and quality requirements. This role requires strong technical CNC programming expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can coach and support team members, troubleshoot complex machining challenges, and drive performance related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead, coach, and support CNC programmers and machining support team members.\nOversee CNC programming activities to support production schedules, new product launches, process improvements, and business priorities.\nDevelop, edit, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for CNC mills, CNC lathes, DMG MORI equipment, and other machining equipment.\nReview CNC programs to ensure accuracy, repeatability, quality, and compliance with internal standards.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, GD&T, and work instructions.\nTroubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixtures, programming, cycle times, dimensional accuracy, and part quality.\nSupport tooling selection, fixture design, setup documentation, work holding strategies, and standard work.\nPartner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Materials, and Operations to support production needs and resolve issues.\nLead process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, increase throughput, and improve equipment utilization.\nWork with Quality to resolve nonconformances, deviations, inspection concerns, and process-related issues.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions related to machining defects, programming errors, or process failures.\nEnsure CNC programs, documentation, and machining processes comply with SOPs, cGMP requirements, quality procedures, and company policies.\nSupport workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for CNC programming activities.\nProvide technical guidance and training to machinists, operators, programmers, and production teams.\nMaintain accurate records of CNC programs, revisions, tooling information, setup sheets, and related manufacturing documentation.\nUse data to identify trends, drive improvements, and improve machining performance.\nSupport lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and EGX initiatives.\nEscalate equipment, process, safety, quality, or staffing concerns in a timely manner.\nPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, compliance, technical excellence, and continuous improvement\nMinimum Basic Qualifications:\nMinimum of 5 years of CNC programming, machining, or manufacturing engineering support experience. \nPrior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical employees preferred. \nExperience programming CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipment. \nExperience using CAM software to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs. \nStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling, workholding, inspection methods, and manufacturing documentation. \nAbility to work under general direction while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. \nStrong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. \nAbility to support production needs while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. \nDesired Characteristics:\nExperience programming and supporting CNC lathes and CNC mills.\nExperience with DMG MORI machining equipment preferred.\nExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment.\nExperience in medical device, aerospace, automotive, or another precision manufacturing industry.\nExperience machining titanium, cobalt chrome, stainless steel, or other medical-grade materials.\nExperience with 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining.\nExperience with Swiss machining, mill-turn, or complex part programming.\nExperience with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Esprit, NX, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/CAM software.\nExperience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrior supervisory experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives. \nExperience with Oracle or similar ERP systems. \nPrior supervisory experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment. \nPhysical Requirements:\nPhysical Requirements \nAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. \nAbility to work on or around manufacturing equipment. \nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. \nTravel Requirements:\nLess than 10%\nCurrently, Enovis does not provide sponsorship for employment visas (e.g., H-1B) and will not offer such sponsorship in the future.
