As an Costing Accountant, you will be an important contributor for the financial operations of our rapidly growing company. This position reports to the Costing Accounting Manager in Korea. The position requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to understand the big picture while being detail oriented.\nKey Responsibilities\nCost Accounting & Cost Management\nMaintain the Cost Accounting System through data analysis and management.\nAnalyze cost and purchase price variances.\nMonitor, analyze, and update standard costs.\nReview standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.\nCollect and analyze cost-related data and prepare reports.\nReview labor and manufacturing overhead allocations based on production activities.\nCost & Inventory Closing\nPerform and review month-end closing activities related to costing and inventory.\nPrepare journal entries related to cost and inventory closing.\nPrepare and analyze cost and inventory closing reports.\nReview inventory reconciliations and closing-related adjustments.\nCoordinate quarterly aged inventory roundtable meetings.\nReview selected GL accounts.\nFinancial Reporting & Audit Support\nPrepare key performance, revenue, and inventory reports for management.\nPrepare supporting documents and coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end financial audits.\nSupport SOX internal control activities.\nReview compliance with internal cost accounting procedures and support process improvements.\nOther Responsibilities\nCalculate and manage cost rates for defense contracts and prepare supporting documentation.\nAssist with insurance-related administrative tasks.\nSupport subcontracting activities and compliance with subcontracting regulations.\nPrepare ad hoc reports as requested.\nPerform other duties as assigned, including cost accounting-related HR guidance and support, as needed.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.\nHands-on experience in cost accounting.\nBasic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in manufacturing cost accounting and month-end closing.\nExperience in General Ledger (GL) and General Accounting (GA) activities.\nExperience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.\nExperience in standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.\nExperience in SOX internal controls and external audit support.\nExperience in cross-functional collaboration and process improvement.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification.\nExperience working in an ERP implementation
