Sr Material Planner

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for material planning and rescheduling activities based on the production build plan and changes in demand or production requirements.

• Generate and maintain the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) based on S&OP demand, production schedules, BOM requirements, inventory levels, and material lead times.

• Translate production requirements into material demand and replenishment requirements and communicate these requirements to the respective Buyer/Procurement team for execution.

• Monitor material availability and readiness to ensure adequate supply to support the production plan.

• Identify potential material shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks, and work closely with Buyers, Production Planning, Engineering, and other stakeholders to develop mitigation and recovery plans.

• Review and analyze forecast/demand versus actual consumption and loading trends to continuously improve material planning accuracy.

• Provide suppliers and/or the Procurement team with monthly/weekly material forecasts and demand projections to support capacity and supply planning.

• Perform material capacity and constraint analysis based on demand requirements and highlight potential supply gaps to the appropriate stakeholders.

• Establish and maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels, including safety stock and inventory targets, in accordance with company guidelines.

• Monitor inventory health and proactively manage excess, shortage, slow-moving, and obsolete materials in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

• Support production schedule changes by assessing material impact, availability, and readiness, and recommending appropriate planning actions.

• Drive continuous improvement in material planning processes, MRP accuracy, inventory optimization, and material visibility.

• Provide regular material status and risk updates to Planning and Supply Chain stakeholders.

• Support special projects and other supply chain initiatives as assigned by the manager.

• Perform other material planning-related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration or related field is required.

• Minimum 3-5 years working experiences in relevant field

• Advanced knowledge of NPI Planning and Material Scheduling & Control.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
