Relocation support may be provided to meet this requirement.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe are seeking a Geologist/Environmental Scientist who is proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to continue developing their technical expertise. The ideal candidate will support environmental site assessments, investigations, and remediation projects for municipal, state government, and industrial clients under the mentorship of project managers and senior technical staff, with the opportunity to grow into increased project responsibilities over time.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in a collaborative environment that encourages technical growth, problem-solving, and career development. EnSafe empowers our staff to pursue their profession with purpose, support, and room to grow.\nDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nIn this position, you will:\nPrepare and contribute to Work Plans, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Reports, and other technical documents related to site investigation and remediation.\nPerform and support environmental site assessments, including groundwater, soil, surface water, and soil gas sampling.\nConduct and lead field activities and documentation, including sample collection, logging, and adherence to health and safety protocols.\nCoordinate with subcontractors and laboratories for drilling, sampling, and analytical services.\nEvaluate environmental data and support the development of technical findings and recommendations.\nAssist with project coordination, including schedule tracking, task execution, and internal communication.\nSupport regulatory compliance and permitting documentation as assigned.\nParticipate in internal technical reviews and quality control processes.\nSKILLS/EXPERIENCE\n Minimum Skills and Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.\n2-6 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry.\nOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification (current).\nProven experience with multi-media environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas) and conducting environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II).\nFamiliarity with applicable state and federal environmental regulations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills.\nAbility to travel 20-30% overnight travel.\nValid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.\nPreferred Skills:\nGeologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (PG) License.\nMaster’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.\nExperience with the TDEC Voluntary Oversight and Assistance Program (VOAP).\nPrior experience supporting remedial investigations and corrective action activities.\nExperience coordinating field efforts with subcontractors and laboratories.\nFamiliarity with data management, regulatory submittals, and quality control processes.\nWhy Join EnSafe?\n Employee-Owned AdvantageEnSafe is 100% employee-owned, with an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) since 1997.
