EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations. \nDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nIn this role, you will:\nSupport and manage hydrology and hydraulics projects from planning through completion for public and private sector clients.\nPerform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for flood studies, drainage improvements, stormwater management systems, watershed evaluations, and related civil infrastructure projects.\nDevelop and review HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) models and interpret results to support engineering recommendations and design decisions.\nPrepare technical reports, calculations, exhibits, and engineering documentation that meet client, regulatory, and industry standards.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and other technical professionals to deliver multidisciplinary projects.\nAssist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination to support successful project delivery.\nCommunicate technical findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies in a clear and concise manner.\nSupport permitting efforts and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies as required.\nContribute to proposal development, client relationship management, and the pursuit of new project opportunities.\nUphold EnSafe's safety culture and commitment that \"safety is part of everything we do.\"\nSKILLS/EXPERIENCE\nMinimum Skills and Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited engineering discipline.\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.\n3-5 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water resources engineering, or a related field.\nHands-on experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D).\nExperience with floodplain analysis, stormwater management, drainage design, watershed studies, and/or flood mitigation projects.\nWorking knowledge of GIS applications and related water resources modeling tools.\nExperience preparing technical reports, engineering calculations, and client-ready deliverables.\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex problems and develop practical, data-driven solutions.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.\nStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nA collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to share knowledge and mentor less experienced staff.\nSelf-motivated with a desire to learn, grow professionally, and take ownership of project deliverables.\nStrong client service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to project success.\nWillingness to travel occasionally for project site visits, client meetings, and field activities.\nPreferred Skills:\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.\nExperience with FEMA floodplain studies, CLOMR/LOMR processes, and regulatory permitting.\nFamiliarity with SWMM, StormCAD, HydroCAD, ArcGIS Pro, or similar modeling and design platforms.\nExperience working in a consulting environment serving public and private sector clients.\nExperience leading project tasks, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, or mentoring junior staff.\nWhy Join EnSafe?\n Employee-Owned AdvantageEnSafe is 100% employee-owned, with an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) since 1997.
