Title: Senior Network Engineer Department: Information Technology Reports To: VP, Information Technology Summary: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for day-to-day network infrastructure and server operations as well as assisting with IT HelpDesk as a Level 3 resource. Essential Functions: Network Design & Implementation:Plan, configure, implement and support scalable, and secure network solutions to meet business needs. Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades or replacements for legacy systems. Network Administration:Manage, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks. Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Security & Compliance:Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems (IPS/IDS), and VPNs. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, such as PCI. Troubleshooting & Optimization:Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
