As part of Ensera, we collaborate globally with contract manufacturing facilities in Europe, the USA, and Asia.\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer looking to combine their well-established engineering expertise and consultancy skills to the development of new products and technologies. This is primarily a full-time role (38 hours per week) based out of our Bristol office however a proportion of the work can be conducted at home and we will consider the possibility of part-time working for the right candidate.\nAs a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electronic systems as part of the Electronics & Software team. You will consult with clients to understand their challenges and use your creative and technical skills to identify and bring to life solutions. You will use your knowledge of electronic and physical first principles, analytical skills, practical experimentation, and simulation skills to take electronic systems from concepts through to production. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, proposal writing, planning, specification development and presenting project activities.\nAbout you\nYou will use your knowledge of electronic and physical first principles, analytical skills, practical experimentation, and simulation skills to take electronic systems from concepts through to production. Your keen eye for detail, excellent organisation and time management will be central to your role as a consultant, where you will have the opportunity to lead small projects, contribute to project planning, proposal writing, specification development and reporting on project activities.\nRequirements\nYour skills and experience\nWhilst you do not need to meet all of these points, please ensure you meet the majority of them before making an application:\nEssential:\nA degree (2:1) or above in Electronics Engineering or associated course\n\nKnowledge of analogue circuit design principles\n\nExperience with 32-bit ARM micro-controllers (e.g. STM32)\n\nA solid understanding of common wired and wireless communications protocols including I2C, UART, SPI, Bluetooth LE, USB, Ethernet etc.\n\nAn understanding of good practice in PCB layout\n\nConfidence and authority when presenting approaches and decisions\n\nGreat people skills and an ability to collaborate in project teams\n\nCommercial awareness and be able to manage your time within defined timescales\n\nAn ability to communicate with stakeholders internally and externally at all levels of a project and to see situations from their perspectives\n\nDesirable experience:\nExperience of working in a consultancy environment\n\nMedical device development experience including EN 60601\n\nExperience with low power circuit design\n\nExperience designing and testing for compliance, CE/FCC, EMC, radio, safety etc\n\nExperience developing systems from concept to design for manufacture\n\nExperience conducting FMEAs\n\nExperience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout\n\nBasic knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++\n\nFor this role we are considering a salary of up to £65,000.
