The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable IAM solutions.\nBeyond project delivery, the role will play an important part in building internal engineering capability by providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing and on-the-job coaching to junior local resources, progressively enabling the team to undertake similar SailPoint customisation and development work independently.\nKey Responsibilities\nSailPoint Customisation & Development\nAnalyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective SailPoint IdentityIQ customisation and development solutions.\nDesign, develop, configure and maintain SailPoint customisations using Java and related development frameworks.\nDevelop and maintain custom rules, workflows, connectors, integrations, forms, reports and other SailPoint components based on project requirements.\nPerform code maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging and optimisation of existing SailPoint implementations.\nEvaluate existing customisations and identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, maintainability and reliability.\nDevelop integrations between SailPoint and other enterprise applications, directories, databases and security platforms.\nEnsure development work follows appropriate coding, security, testing and documentation standards.\nIAM Solution Delivery\nWork closely with clients, business stakeholders, solution architects and project teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.\nParticipate in solution design, technical discussions, prototyping, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.\nContribute to the design and implementation of application build, release, deployment and configuration activities.\nDevelop and execute test plans, perform quality reviews and support defect resolution.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.\nSupport continuous improvement of IAM delivery practices, technical approaches and reusable development components.\nTechnical Leadership & Capability Building\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IAM engineers and developers on Java development and SailPoint customisation.\nCoach and train local resources through project-based knowledge transfer, code reviews, technical walkthroughs and hands-on development.\nDevelop reusable technical documentation, coding practices and development guidelines to build internal SailPoint capability.\nGradually enable junior resources to take ownership of SailPoint customisation and development activities with reduced dependency on senior resources.\nStay current with SailPoint capabilities, IAM technologies, Java development practices and emerging industry trends.\nStakeholder & Team Collaboration\nCollaborate effectively with clients, vendors, partners and internal stakeholders at both technical and business levels.\nCommunicate technical concepts and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nParticipate actively in project planning, technical discussions and solution reviews.\nContribute to ad-hoc projects, initiatives and other responsibilities as assigned.\nRequirements\nEssential\nDegree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.\nHands-on experience in Java development, preferably in an enterprise application environment.\nExperience in SailPoint IdentityIQ customisation and development.\nStrong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, debugging, testing and code maintenance.\nExperience translating business and technical requirements into application or system solutions.\nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS.\nExperience with application integration, APIs and enterprise systems would be advantageous.\nFamiliarity with software development lifecycle, deployment and release processes.\nGood understanding of Microsoft Windows environments.\nCompetencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nStrong software development and engineering mindset, with an emphasis on producing maintainable and quality code.\nAble to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team.\nComfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.\nGood communication and documentation skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with people at different levels of an organisation.\nAdaptable and able to respond effectively to changing business requirements, priorities and technologies.\nStrong coaching and knowledge-sharing mindset, with the ability to develop and mentor junior team members.\nProactive in identifying opportunities to improve technical solutions and delivery
