This role is responsible for defining enterprise database architecture standards, driving innovation, leading complex transformation engagements, and serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders across Ensono's largest and most strategic client accounts.\nPartnering closely with Client Technical Advisors, Solution Architects, Consulting Architects, Product Management, Engineering, and Executive Leadership, the Expert Database Architect develops long-term database strategies that align business objectives with modern data platform capabilities. This includes modernization, cloud adoption, automation, resiliency, security, governance, and emerging database technologies.\nThe Expert Database Architect is expected to lead large-scale, mission-critical database transformation initiatives and provide strategic guidance across a broad range of technologies and industries. This individual acts as a mentor to architects and engineers while influencing Ensono's database service offerings, technical standards, and future-state roadmaps.\nServe as the highest-level technical authority for database architecture within assigned client accounts and strategic initiatives.\nLead architecture strategy and roadmap development for enterprise database and data platform environments.\nDrive large-scale modernization, migration, consolidation, and cloud transformation programs.\nEstablish and maintain database architecture standards, governance models, design frameworks, and best practices.\nAdvise executive leadership teams on database strategy, technology investments, risk management, and transformation planning.\nArchitect highly resilient, secure, scalable, and automated database solutions supporting mission-critical workloads.\nPartner with product, engineering, consulting, and sales teams to shape and evolve Ensono's database services portfolio.\nLead technical due diligence efforts, assessments, and architecture reviews for strategic opportunities.\nProvide expert guidance on emerging technologies, including:Database automation\nAI-enabled operations\nPlatform engineering\nData modernization\nContainerized database platforms\nCloud-native architectures\n\nSupport strategic pursuits by developing differentiated database solutions and participating in executive client presentations.\nAct as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, business leaders, and senior technology stakeholders.\nMentor and develop Solution Architects, Database Architects, Consultants, and Engineering teams.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives through innovation, automation, operational excellence, and modernization.\nRepresent Ensono as a subject matter expert through industry events, client workshops, technical publications, and strategic engagements.\nWe want all new Associates to succeed in their roles at Ensono. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field\n10+ years of experience in database architecture, engineering, administration, or enterprise data platform leadership.\n7+ years designing and leading enterprise-scale database modernization and transformation initiatives.\nExpert-level knowledge of cloud database services and at least one of the following:Microsoft SQL Server\nOracle Database\nPostgreSQL\nMySQL\nMongoDB and NoSQL platforms\nCloud-native database services\n\nExtensive experience designing highly available, mission-critical database environments supporting large global enterprises.\nDeep expertise in database architecture, performance optimization, scalability, security, governance, compliance, automation, and disaster recovery.\nProven experience leading cloud transformation initiatives involving Azure, AWS, and hybrid architectures.\nDemonstrated success partnering with executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business objectives.\nExperience establishing enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices.\nStrong understanding of application architectures, infrastructure platforms, networking, security, and DevOps principles.\nProven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple teams, stakeholders, technologies, and business units.\nExceptional communication, consulting, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvanced certifications in Azure, AWS, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud, or related technologies.\nExperience with enterprise data platforms, analytics, data warehousing, and data governance frameworks.\nKnowledge of AI, machine learning platforms, and modern data architectures.\nExperience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized database deployments.\nFamiliarity with FinOps, platform engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.\nExperience influencing product strategy, service development, and technology investment decisions.\nDemonstrated industry thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, advisory boards, or technical communities.\nConsulting or managed services experience supporting large global enterprises.\nMaster's Degree in relative study.\nWhy Ensono?\nEnsono is a place to make better happen - for our clients and for your career. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
