These five traits are the key to achieving our purpose:\nHonesty, Reliability, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Passion.\nAbout the role and what you'll be doing:\nThe Data Center Facilities Specialist is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and documentation of data center operations and associated mission-critical infrastructure at our Kings Mountain, NC location. This role ensures effective oversight of contractor activities and maintenance practices to maintain operational integrity and energy efficiency, directly supporting Ensono's mission to enable clients to Do Great Things.\nPosition Objectives:\nEnsure operational best practices to maintain availability and uptime of mission-critical operations and infrastructure\n\nReview and document operational and emergency procedures, maintaining as-built documentation\n\nShare technical knowledge with team members to promote professional growth and cross-training\n\nOptimize energy efficiency of data center facilities and systems\n\nResponsibilities:\nOperate and manage critical equipment for routine and emergency services, including HVAC, plumbing, chillers, and fire detection systems\n\nMonitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) to protect equipment and ensure continuous uptime\n\nConduct regular inspections of critical infrastructure including electrical systems, UPS, generators, PDUs, and fire suppression systems\n\nCoordinate equipment installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMACs) within the data center environment\n\nManage cable infrastructure and maintain organized cable management practices\n\nRespond to facility-related alerts and incidents with urgency to minimize service impact and maintain SLA commitments\n\nPerform routine maintenance on raised floors, hot/cold aisle containment systems, and rack infrastructure\n\nCoordinate with vendors and contractors for data center maintenance, repair services, and capital projects\n\nEnsure compliance with data center industry standards, safety regulations, and company security policies\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of facility assets, maintenance logs, incident reports, and as-built drawings\n\nSupport capacity planning and infrastructure improvement initiatives\n\nParticipate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical facility operations\n\nWe want all new Associates to succeed in their roles at Ensono. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.\nWhat You Will Need:\n3+ years of experience in data center facilities management or critical infrastructure operations\n\nStrong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power distribution (PDUs), cooling systems, and environmental controls\n\nUnderstanding of backup power systems including UPS and generator operations\n\nFamiliarity with data center standards and best practices (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, TIA-942)\n\nExperience with environmental monitoring systems and building management systems (BMS)\n\nAbility to use computer systems effectively to document, monitor, and complete service requests and support tickets.\nKnowledge of safety protocols for working in data center environments\n\nAbility to work in a 24/7 operational environment and respond to after-hours emergencies\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills with ability to quickly identify and resolve facility issues\n\nExcellent documentation and communication skills\n\nPhysical ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), work with cabling, and navigate raised floor environments\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred\n\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data center operations or critical facilities management\n\nExperience working with mission-critical infrastructure and understanding of uptime requirements\n\nBonus Qualifications\nData Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) certification\n\nExperience with colocation or managed service provider data center environments\n\nKnowledge of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools\n\nElectrical or HVAC technical certifications\n\nExperience with incident management and change management processes (ITIL framework)\n\nFamiliarity with physical security systems and access control in data center environments\n\nWhy Ensono?\nEnsono is a place to make better happen - for our clients and for your career. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs.
