You will be responsible for promoting open communication with other departments, while demonstrating sound judgment necessary in performing all the duties of as a technical advisor. \nUsing your proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills you will help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to optimize our clients’ infrastructure.\nThe Technical Advisor team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the service we deliver to our clients by effectively:\n\nManaging client communication\n\nConducting proactive and reactive problem management\n\nReducing the number of repeat issues through root cause analysis\n\nBuilding strong client relationships by becoming a point of contact for clients\n\nWorking with internal departments to mitigate client concerns\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPartners with the Technical Delivery Manager to identify and capture MF operational risks, insights, and improvements.\n\nAssists in the development and execution of improvement plans.\n\nPartners with Solution Architects to review and validate a solution’s feasibility; also makes solution recommendations.\n\nEnhance Change Order Execution for Optimize and Run teams\n\nCoordinate and Communicate SW and HW Technology roads to the client stakeholders\n\nCoordinate and communication RCA to client stakeholders\n\nInterface between Ensono teams and client stakeholders to identify and bring efficiencies, thought leadership and process improvements to the client environment.\n\nTravel requirements based on client and Ensono needs.\n\nWill participate in Knowledge Transfer activities for new client on-boarding activities to transition support to BAU MF teams.\n\nSkills\n\nProficiency in interacting with SW and HW vendors.\n\nFamiliarity with mainframe functional areas such as TCP/IP, VTAM, SNA, SFTP, Session Manager tools, and Disaster Recovery concepts. Technical implementation skills required for Communications Server and related ISV software products on the z/OS platform.\n\nDeep understanding of MF HW and SW infrastructure.\n\nProficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients. \n\nExceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills\n\nCustomer Service skills at management level\n\nExperience establishing and documenting processes and procedures\n\nStrong collaboration and teamwork skills\n\nUnderstand a large-scale 24x7 production environment\n\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills with knowledge of problem analysis\n\nMust be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. \n\nITIL certification desirable\n\nWillingness to take ownership of issues and progress to resolution\n\nAbility to host meetings and conference calls. \n\nExperience\n\nMinimum of 10 years of experience within a zOS environment\n\nTechnical knowledge across multiple Mainframe teams\n\nKnowledge of DR planning and execution\n\nExperience with client facing and Service Delivery communication acumen.\n\nExperience with on-boarding new clients in a managed service\n\nExperience of working within a managed services environment is advantageous.\n\nCollege degree preferred\n\nPrimary Location City/State:Homebased - Downers Grove, IL - Finley, IllinoisAdditional Locations (if applicable):Ensono is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
