Our Associates focus on client impact with curiosity and a feeling of relentless commitment.\nAbout the role and what you will be doing:\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly, Agile-based, team working on some of the hottest public cloud technologies. \nThe Public Cloud Product Engineering team works closely with our Product Management team to bring to life standard services and solutions that can be repeatedly sold to multiple managed service customers. \nUsing your strong background in automation, engineering, and best practice you will also play a major role in defining and evolving our public cloud standards, implementing new tools, onboarding new AWS and GCP services, and act as an SME supporting other teams. \nThe successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate a genuine desire and passion for public cloud; automation; keeping it simple, supportable, and scalable; with proven ability to deliver pragmatic workable solutions on time. \nResponsibilities:\nAct as the lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories.\nDevelop (“operationalize”) new repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions.\nDefine and evolve public cloud technical standards to ensure repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.\nMake recommendations on technical stack including research, assessments, bake-offs, and proof of concepts.\nAssess and onboard new AWS and GCP services in line with the Product roadmap.\nDrive the deployment of automated infrastructure and systems using IAC, config management and scripting.\nProvide subject matter expertise and advice to pre-sales architects on our technical standards.\nAct as a final line of escalation and assistance for the cloud operations team for major problems.\nProactively keep up to date on public cloud services and related technology. \nDesired Skillsand Experience\n8+ years’ experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g., high profile web or enterprise infrastructure) essential.\n5+ years’ experience of architecting, engineering, or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.\nSound knowledge of AWS or GCP best practice, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.\nExperience of implementing and supporting public-cloud based workloads and services.\nHold multiple current AWS or Google Cloud Certifications (or be able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge).\nExperience of building solutions using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud formation) \nExperience of config management systems (e.g., Ansible).\nExcellent Linux O/S knowledge and experience (RHCE or equivalent level of knowledge).\nScripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash.\nExperience of using Git for version control.\nExperience of the AWS or GCP CLI and scripting against it.\nExperience of working with, designing, deploying, or supporting containerized environments (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes/Docker) is useful, but not essential.\nExperience of Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technology useful.\nAble to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality (e.g. Copilot/Claude/Kiro)\nGood knowledge of TCP/IP.\nA degree in a computing-related discipline preferred or equivalent ability and knowledge.\nExperience working in ITIL and Agile environments beneficial.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAble to share knowledge via clear and concise documentation, and demos/presentations.\nAble to implement supportable solutions and make the complex simple.\nAble to work in an organized and efficient manner without close supervision \nMust be self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude.\nDesire to continually grow, develop and improve.\nAble to perform as a role model within the team. \nBenefits: \nWe believe that great work deserves great rewards.
