This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing Linux servers in production environments across hosted, cloud (AWS/Azure), and remote infrastructure settings. You will drive operational excellence, incident resolution, automation, and continuous improvement for critical business systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nIncident & Problem Management\nResolve high-priority incidents and major incidents (MIs) with end-to-end ownership and minimal escalation\nPerform advanced root-cause analysis and implement permanent, sustainable fixes\nLead critical incident response, stabilization, and recovery efforts under pressure\nProvide clear technical direction and minimize business impact during outages\nOwnership & Accountability\nTake end-to-end ownership of service requests, incidents, and operational tasks\nEnsure proper validation, documentation, and closure of all work items\nTrack MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution) and drive continuous improvement\nMaintain high availability and compliance standards\nProcess Excellence & SOP Development\nCreate, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring operational tasks\nIdentify and document gaps in procedures and driving standardization across teams\nSupport audit and compliance requirements through documented processes\nContribute to operational runbooks and disaster recovery procedures\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nDevelop Ansible playbooks, shell scripts, and automation to reduce manual effort\nSupport infrastructure-as-code initiatives and configuration management\nIdentify repetitive tasks and drive automation to improve reliability and efficiency\nSupport deployment and orchestration initiatives (Docker, Kubernetes, orchestration tools)\nChange & Risk Management\nExecute changes within ServiceNow/change management frameworks\nPerform impact analysis and risk assessment for infrastructure changes\nCoordinate with stakeholders during maintenance windows and service outages\nValidate blackout configurations and alert suppression during changes\nMentorship & Team Leadership\nAct as a technical reference point and mentor for junior engineers\nGuide team members during complex troubleshooting and escalations\nShare knowledge through documentation, training, and collaborative problem-solving\nContribute to team capability development and cross-training\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external clients\nProvide clear updates on incident status and resolution timelines\nBuild trust through reliability, transparency, and technical credibility\nSupport SLA compliance and service level agreements\n\nRequired Qualifications\nTechnical Skills\n8+ years of production Linux/Unix administration and support experience\nDeep knowledge of RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu (including LTS versions and lifecycle management)\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills: kernel, networking, storage, performance tuning\nExperience with patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation\nStrong shell scripting (Bash) and Ansible automation experience\nProficiency with systemd, RPM/APT package management, and kernel modules\nHands-on experience with SSH, sudo, LDAP/Active Directory authentication\nSolid understanding of Linux security (SELinux, AppArmor, firewalls, file permissions)\nCloud & Infrastructure\nExperience with AWS EC2 , GCP and Azure VMs in production environments\nUnderstanding of managed services and infrastructure as a service (IaaS)\nExperience with DNS, routing, load balancing concepts\nMonitoring & Logging\nExperience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or similar monitoring platforms\nAbility to configure alerts, dashboards, and log aggregation\nUnderstanding of metrics, logs, traces (observability fundamentals)\nOperational Skills\nStrong incident response and problem-solving under pressure\nChange management and risk assessment experience\nDocumentation and SOP writing skills\nAbility to work in 24/7 on-call rotations (if required)\nSoft Skills\nExcellent communication and technical documentation abilities\nStrong time management and prioritization in multi-tasking environment\nTeam player with mentoring mindset\nDetail-oriented with focus on quality and compliance\nShift Timings: 24*7 rotational shift and oncall support\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
