And that’s just the beginning\nThe Senior Virtualization Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise virtualization and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments. This role provides technical leadership for VMware and Nutanix platforms, leads infrastructure upgrade and migration initiatives, and ensures the availability, performance, and scalability of virtualized environments.\nThe position plays a key role in delivering datacenter transformation projects, infrastructure modernization programs, platform consolidations, and operational improvements. The Senior Virtualization Engineer partners with architects, project managers, support teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and cost-effective infrastructure solutions while maintaining operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nVirtualization Infrastructure Management\nDesign, deploy, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere and Nutanix infrastructure platforms.\nManage virtualization technologies including vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, DRS, HA, and vSAN.\nPerform capacity planning, performance tuning, infrastructure health assessments, and resource optimization.\nEnsure high availability, resiliency, security, and compliance across virtualization environments.\nProject Delivery & Infrastructure Modernization\nLead and support datacenter migrations, infrastructure upgrades, platform refreshes, and consolidation initiatives.\nParticipate in infrastructure design reviews, solution planning, and implementation activities.\nDevelop project estimates, implementation plans, risk assessments, and technical documentation.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.\nOperations & Support\nProvide advanced troubleshooting for complex virtualization, storage, networking, and infrastructure issues.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve platform stability.\nMonitor infrastructure performance and proactively address capacity or operational risks.\nSupport operational excellence through SLA adherence, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAutomation & Process Improvement\nDevelop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, or related tools.\nImprove operational efficiency through process standardization and automation.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.\nStakeholder Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing\nWork closely with infrastructure architects, application teams, support teams, and vendors.\nCommunicate technical issues, project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.\nSupport operational handover and knowledge transfer activities following project completion.\nRequired Technical Skills\nVMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, DRS, HA, vSAN)\nNutanix HCI (Prism, Cluster Administration, Lifecycle Management)\nEnterprise Storage, Networking, and Compute Infrastructure\nDatacenter Migration and Infrastructure Modernization\nCapacity Planning and Performance Optimization\nInfrastructure Monitoring and Operational Support\nPowerShell, PowerCLI, and Infrastructure Automation\nHybrid Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)\nDesired Competencies\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nProject delivery and execution experience\nStakeholder and vendor management\nEffective verbal and written communication\nTeam collaboration and mentoring\nRisk assessment and decision-making capabilities\nHandling Root Cause Analysis\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of experience in enterprise virtualization and infrastructure engineering.\nVMware VCP and Nutanix NCP certifications are desirable.\nExperience supporting medium to large enterprise virtualization environments and infrastructure transformation projects.\nShift Timings: 24*7 Rotational Shifts\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
