By placing exciting, engaging and entertaining experiences at more fingertips than ever before. We're pulling into pole position by pushing boundaries further. With innovation. With technology. But most importantly, with people like you. Because when you join Entain, it's your game. So let's win together.

How we measure and optimise our marketing effectiveness is key to how we grow. We're a UK&I-focused marketing analytics team, working directly with the marketing teams to understand what's working and where to invest next, and MMM sits at the heart of that.

This is a high impact analytical role that will report to the Head of UK Marketing Analytics, owning and leading Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) for our UK&I brands. You'll be our MMM expert, responsible for the data pipelines, the modelling, and the insights and recommendations that come out of it. It's a chance to shape how MMM is built and used across our UK&I business, with real influence over how we invest in marketing.

The purpose of the role is to use MMM to measure performance and allocate marketing budget across our acquisition teams and channels, improving efficiency and ROI. More broadly, the role will challenge our marketing teams to think and work differently to get better results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own UK&I MMM end to end, leading the design and ongoing refinement across our brands, products and customer lifecycle, and setting the methodology.
  • Own the data pipelines that feed the MMM:
    • make sure the data is accurate and reliable
    • resolve data quality issues
    • build new pipelines where needed
  • Validate and stress test model outputs so results are robust and trusted before they're used to make decisions.
  • Turn model outputs into clear recommendations on budget allocation, channel mix and media planning, including budget optimisation scenarios.
  • Partner closely with marketing, finance and our media agency to embed MMM into planning and influence big decisions such as budget setting.
  • Work with our media agency on testing and experimentation, building a feedback loop between MMM and experiments so each one informs the other.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to senior stakeholders, including non-technical audiences, through presentations, reports and documentation.
  • Act as our expert on MMM methodology, validation and best practice, keeping up with new methods and using them to keep improving what we do.

Essential:

  • Proven, hands-on experience building and running MMMs end to end in a commercial setting, with a track record of owning a model and making it something the business relies on.
  • Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in R or Python, with a deep understanding of econometric techniques, time-series analysis and regression, and experience with modern MMM approaches.
  • Strong SQL and experience building and maintaining data pipelines and working with large datasets.
  • Able to operate as our subject-matter expert, setting direction and driving work forward independently.
  • Able to explain complex econometric concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Desired:

  • Experience in the Gambling industry or similar.
  • Experience working with media agencies and with marketing and finance teams.
  • Experience combining MMM with experiments such as geo or holdout tests, or with attribution.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and data visualisation tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in econometrics.
