Testing involves creating test scenarios to immediately identify and correct problems.\nControlling access and permissions for accessing customer databases including verifying access requests and revoking access as directed by the customer.\nCreating and maintaining all database documentation including documenting data policies and procedures as well as data standards.\nPerforming security related maintenance such as security patching, software patching and database upgrades within set maintenance windows.\nWorking with storage engineers to expand/reclaim DB space as needed.\nProviding support creating and maintaining databases associated with AWS-specific DB technologies such as RDS, AWS RedShift and MySQL.\nSupporting a 24x7x365 ops team as part of a rotating on-call schedule.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum 4 years of experience monitoring, updating/patching, data recovery and general maintenance\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate\n Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redshift database technologies; hands-on SQL DBA (not a managerial position)\nServer troubleshooting experience (OS is Linux/Windows/VMware/AWS/Azure)\nKnowledge of day to day SQL database operations, deployments and development\nExtensive database experience with RDS, AWS Redshift or MySQL\nHands-on experience with database standards and end user applications\nMinimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses\nExperience SQL and Performance tuning\nDetermine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards\nQuick learner, self-starter with strong troubleshooting and communication skills\nStrong customer service skills and ability to work in team environment \nClearance: Able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain Public Trust Level 6 required\nDesired Qualifications\nExtensive database experience with RDS, AWS Redshift, MySQL, SQL, Oracle\nKnowledge of AWS CLI, Snapshot, Route 53, S3, EC2\nAWS certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Database\nAbout Us\nFormed through the strategic union of Sev1Tech and ERT, Entarian is a premier provider of mission-critical engineering and technology solutions.
