This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting senior technicians (Tech III-VI) with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ESS Systems (electronic security systems) To include, but not limited to, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control (ACS), Intrusion Detection (IDS), and Public Annunciator (PA).\nThis role requires a basic understanding of CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. Engineering Technician I/II follows instructions provided by experienced technicians and actively learns from them through both ‘On-the-job-training’ and formal training provided through onboarding and various System Certifications applicable to a project.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nThe Engineering Technician I role is an entry-level position within the Electronic Security Systems team, offering individuals an opportunity to gain foundational experience in the field. This role plays a crucial part in assisting senior technicians with various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems.\nAssist Senior Technicians:\nCollaborate with senior technicians to support the installation of electronic security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control panels, and intrusion detection sensors.\nAssist in the setup and configuration of security equipment according to project specifications.\nPerform Maintenance Tasks:\nAid in conducting routine maintenance activities on installed security systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.\nAssist in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic system issues, under the guidance of senior technicians.\nLearn and Follow Instructions:\nFollow instructions provided by experienced technicians meticulously to ensure tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.\nActively observe and learn from senior technicians, seeking clarification when needed to enhance understanding.\nDevelop Basic Understanding:\nDevelop a basic understanding of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.\nFamiliarize oneself with the components, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation associated with these systems.\nQuality Assurance:\nPay close attention to detail to ensure that tasks are performed accurately and in accordance with established standards and procedures.\nContribute to maintaining high-quality workmanship by adhering to best practices and quality control measures.\nTeam Collaboration:\nWork collaboratively with team members to accomplish project objectives and deliverables.\nCommunicate effectively with colleagues to provide updates on task progress and seek assistance or guidance when needed.\nProfessional Development:\nDemonstrate eagerness to learn and grow within the field of electronic security systems.\nTake advantage of opportunities for training and skill development provided by the organization to enhance knowledge and expertise.\n$24/hr to $32/hr DOE\nMinimum Qualifications\nAbility to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nValid Driver’s License\nTravel up to 50% to CONUS and OCONUS locations may be required.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nBasic knowledge of electronics or related fields.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nAttention to detail to ensure accurate task execution.\nEagerness to learn and commitment to maintaining quality workmanship.\nBasic understanding and experience with Basic Hand tools. (*S1T Does NOT Provide Basic Hand tools)\nDesired Qualifications\nTower Climbing experience/certification.\nForklift/ Boom operator experience/certification.\nFiber Optic Certification(s)\nExperienced with Navy Shore Platform Installation Handbook\nKnowledge of Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) physical security system Access Control Enforcer (ACE) and its integration with ACS\nUnderstanding of DMP systems\nManufacturer certifications if required (Avigilon, Axis, DMP, Lenel, AMAG, Honeywell, Galaxy, FLIR, and Pelco.)\nInstall, program and document ACS/IDS/CCTV equipment, cable conveyance, antennas and supporting systems.\nCommunication/ Low Voltage Equipment rack and supporting system peripheral installations.\nInstallation of overhead or under-floor infrastructure (Conduit, EMT, Schedule 40) and low voltage cabling.\nProficiency in using basic tools and various low voltage testing equipment.\nActive Secret Clearance\nAbility to obtain a passport\nAbout Us\nFormed through the strategic union of Sev1Tech and ERT, Entarian is a premier provider of mission-critical engineering and technology solutions.
