The selected candidate will perform tactical radio field support and be independently responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C5ISR equipment. The selected candidate will provide local unit support and be onsite in JBLM, WA when not on TDY. Provide network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support to PM Tactical Radios. Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and installing portions of the network infrastructure. Assures non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner.\nPerform fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance.\nHands-on or educational experience in one or more of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.\nAssists in conducting tests and evaluations of electronic instrumentation by laboratory and field tests for use in solving existing problems.\nSalary Range $70,000-$85,000 BOE.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree. Four (4) years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted/utilized for education.\nMust be a US Citizen and be capable of maintaining DoD Secret Clearance.\nMust have 5 years of relevant experience and understanding in field support of tactical radios.\nCapability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
