The position should bridge technical subject-matter experts, engineers, training developers, and Soldiers/end users. The position requires the ability to interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation for Soldiers, maintainers, instructors, and other personnel. The candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining technical manuals, operator/user guides, training materials, and associated documentation. The candidate will also assist with training needs analysis, implementation planning, sustainment, and validation/verification activities and will interface with government personnel to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve issues.\nPrimary Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:\nDevelop, revise, and maintain technical manuals (TMs), operator manuals, user guides, quick-reference guides, job aids, and training documentation for assigned systems and equipment.\nDevelops, organizes, and maintains supporting instructional materials such as practical exercises, examinations (written and hands-on), student handouts, background material, instructional aids and training aids.\nReview engineering documentation, system specifications, manufacturer manuals, software documentation, test reports, and other technical source material to develop accurate training content.\nConvert complex technical procedures into clear, sequential, task-oriented instructions that can be understood and executed by the intended audience.\nDevelop and update task-based training materials, including performance steps, conditions, standards, troubleshooting procedures, system configuration procedures, and operator tasks.\nIncorporate approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), software updates, hardware modifications, configuration changes, lessons learned, and field feedback into technical documentation.\nAssist in the development of IMI products.\nConduct quality-control reviews for technical accuracy, grammar, terminology, formatting, consistency, and usability.\nParticipate in equipment demonstrations, technical interchange meetings, training events, and field exercises to gather information necessary for documentation development.\nMaintain working knowledge of assigned communications systems, software applications, network architectures, and associated support equipment.\nCoordinate with Training Developers and Team Leads to ensure technical documentation supports the overall training strategy and current mission requirements.\nTechnical publication validation, verification, and Logistics Demonstration (LD) process development and support.\nAssist in the development of documentation for Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).\nDetermine the learning strategies required to meet the learning needs of the customer.\nMinimum Qualifications\nActive Secret clearance\nBA degree or 12-15 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience developing technical manuals, user guides, training documentation, or other technical publications.\nExperience interpreting and documenting complex technical systems, equipment, software, or communications processes.\nAbility to work effectively with technical SMEs and extract accurate information from highly technical discussions and source documentation.\nStrong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and documentation skills.\nAbility to develop task-oriented, step-by-step procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify technical inconsistencies or missing information.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Visio.\nAbility to manage multiple documentation projects, revisions, and competing deadlines.\nAbility to work independently while coordinating effectively with government and contractor personnel.\nMust be able to travel atleast 40% of the year.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
