You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and engineering to improve equipment performance, reliability, scalability, and safety across the site.\nWhatYou’llDo:\nDesign, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotic control systems for manufacturing equipment\n\nLead automation projects from concept, design, and programming through commissioning and production support\n\nDevelop andmaintaincontrol system architectures, electrical designs, and documentation (schematics, network diagrams, etc.)\n\nProgram and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), HMIs, vision systems, and robotics platforms\n\nOptimizesystem performance, cycle times, and reliability using data-driven analysis and continuous improvement methodologies\n\nDiagnose and resolve complex electrical, controls, communication, and system integration issues\n\nSpecify, integrate, and support industrial components including sensors, instrumentation, servo systems, VFDs, motion control, and safety systems\n\nManage and support industrial networks (Ethernet/IP) and connectivity between systems\n\nCollaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineering teams to design automated equipment, tooling, and fixtures\n\nLead commissioning, validation, and startup activities for new production lines and capital equipment\n\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies\n\nMaintain and improve documentation, version control, and change management processes\n\nSupport digital transformation initiatives including data collection, MES integration, and smart factory technologies\n\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to technicianson automation best practices\n\nCollaborate with global teams to standardize automation platforms and processes\n\nStay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements\n\nCommunicate technical concepts, risks, and solutions clearly to stakeholders at all levels\n\nAdhere to PACE values - people & teamwork, accountability, integrity & trust, creativity and innovation, dedication to excellence\n\nWhat We Seek:\nBachelor’s degree inElectricalEngineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field\n\nMust be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship\n\n2+ years of experience in automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment\n\nStrong experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Logix platform preferred)\n\nExperience with HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Ignition, or similar)\n\nKnowledge of robotics systems (FANUCpreferred), including programming and integration\n\nProficiencyin electrical system design and ability to read and develop schematics\n\nExperience with motion control systems, servo drives, and coordinated motion applications\n\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols and networkarchitecture\n\nExperience supportingandleading equipment commissioning and startup activities\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills across electrical, controls, and integrated systems\n\nFamiliarity with safety systems (lockout/tagout, machine safety circuits, risk assessments)\n\nExperience with CAD tools (SolidWorks,SolidWorks Electrical, or similar preferred)\n\nKnowledge of data systems, MES integration, or Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills\n\nAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able tolift upto 50 lbs. at times\n\nMust be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift\n\nAbility to use hand tools and perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, and reaching\n\nAbility to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or platforms as needed\n\nAbility to obtain forklift certification ifrequired\n\nWorks well independently and within a team environment\n\nhy Work At Entegris?\nLead.
