This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.\nIn this exciting role, the Controls Engineer Co-Op will assist in developing new, high purity, solid precursor delivery systems for advanced node chemistries for the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCoordinate project timelines with lead controls engineering NPD management\nCreate PLC and HMI code based on end-user requirements as defined in IO sheets, sequence charts, alarms/interlock charts, P&IDs, and control panel electrical schematics\nSupport New-Product-Development (NPD) scientists and engineers in use and troubleshooting of controller equipment, including sensors, transmitters, remote IO, analog scales, temperature controllers, overlimit controllers, and other microcontrollers\nMake programming changes online for retrofitting or upgrading equipment\nCoordinate project timelines with NPD management\nQuote components and order parts directly with outside vendors\nWork safely and drive process improvements\nListen actively and solve problems in a structured manner\nManage change through cross-functional partnering in a global environment\nWhat We Seek\nDemonstrated experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving the semiconductor industry.\nUnderstanding of electrical controllers (PLC/PAC), including how to read/write/edit logic using IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder, FBD, Structured Text, SFC) with a command of program scan time, timers, interlocks, latches, control loops and conditional statements affecting electrical inputs/outputs.\nProficiency, knowledge, or willingness to become proficient in controls / software related tools (Python, Ignition, SQL, etc.)\nTenacity to drive projects to world class performance in a timely manner.\nWillingness to work in a team environment.\nProfessionalism, integrity, and high degree of accountability.\nSpeed of project implementation.\nSupporting teams to develop creative solutions to technical problems is essential.\nStrong communication skills up, down, and across the organization with project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.\nDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year\nMajor in Controls Engineering or related subject\nMajor in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, computer, industrial, or similar)\nMajor in in the Sciences (Computer, Physics, Mathematics, or similar)\nGraduation year 2027-2028\nEligibility\nMust be a currently enrolled student\nAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.\nMust be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program\nWhy Work at Entegris\nLead.
