This role involves utilizing scientific molding principles to ensure high-quality production, troubleshooting process issues, and training other engineers. The Senior/Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and validate new molds, supports automation integration, and provides technical training on new molding technologies. They respond to customer complaints, ensure compliance with quality standards, and contribute to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement efforts.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAdvise process engineers and technicians, providing guidelines for optimal molding conditions.\nMaintain knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) procedures to reduce scrap and produce quality parts. Establish and enhance SPC control and practices.\nCoordinate and sample new tools and materials to determine the most appropriate methods for manufacturing company products. Document new tools and materials extensively. Review capability studies on new and existing tools and processes, recommending corrective actions for areas not meeting specifications.\nDetermine control dimensions on new and existing jobs, improving existing process flow through LEAN optimization techniques.\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of cost structures to determine profit margins per job.\nMaintain detailed knowledge of production materials, resins, mold construction tooling, and related molding items and tools.\nPromote a safety culture and adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing required protective equipment.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, supporting automation integration, providing technical training, responding to customer complaints, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.\nEnsure the highest possible product quality and adherence to Entegris’s Quality System, ISO, and other standards.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat We Seek:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Polymer/Material/Mechanical or related).\nAt least 5 years of experience in injection molding process engineering.\nProficiency in scientific molding principles and techniques.\nExpertise in Plastic Injection Molding automation solutions.\nExperience in project management.\nKnowledge of Scientific Injection Molding and SPC.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process issues.\nExperience with AI/ML incorporation in manufacturing practices, including conventional MES systems.\nAbility to teach and implement Design of Experiments.\nExperience in tooling development and modifications.\nOutstanding Candidates Will Have:\nMaintain continuous repeatable processes with proper documentation and monitoring.\nManage assigned projects in a timely manner, keeping to scope at all times.\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Entegris, we invest in providing opportunities for our employees and promote from within.
