The position combines hands-on manufacturing engagement with mechanical designexpertiseto deliver reliable, high-quality products.\nWhatYou’llDo\nLead the mechanical design of Point of Use (POU) pressure vessels used forcontaininghigh-purity purification media.\n\nPartner closely with the Research & Development team todetermineoptimalmedia types, form factors, and geometric requirements for new purifier products.\n\nEvaluate and selectappropriate filtrationmedia to meet pressuredrop, flowrate, and contamination control requirements.\n\nDesign robust joints for pressure vessels, with a heavy emphasis on both welding specifications and bolted joint assemblies.\n\nSpend dedicated time on the manufacturing floor learning orbital and lathe welding.\n\nConduct, analyze, and document pressure vessel stress calculations to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., ASME BPVC).\n\nUtilize SolidWorks to create 3D models, detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, and complete Bills of Materials (BOMs).\n\nAct as an engineering liaison to the manufacturing floor,assistingin the troubleshooting of production issues to ensure on-time delivery.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, process improvements, and change control processes to improve manufacturability and product performance.\n\nCreate a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.\n\nAny other duties as assigned.\n\nWhatWeSeek\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.\n\n2 to 4 years of professional engineering experience with a direct focus on pressure equipment or pressure vessel design.\n\nDemonstrated experience in 3D modeling and 2D drafting using SolidWorks or other CAD programs. (Experience with PDM/PLM systems is aplus).\n\nDeep understanding of mechanical assembly techniques, specifically structural welding design, weld callouts, and bolted joint engineering.\n\nProven ability to perform manual and software-assisted stress calculations for pressurized equipment. Familiarity with ASME Section VIII or similar pressure vessel codes is highly preferred.\n\nPreviousexperience with filtration media, fluid dynamics, or high-purity gas/liquid systems is a strong advantage.\n\nHands-on mindset witha track recordof successfully troubleshooting mechanical manufacturing and production issues.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.\n\nWhy Work at Entegris\nLead.
