Knowledge and experience in programming GE Proficy software suites, such as, Real Time Information Portal, Plant Application, Workflow, etc. would be an advantage too. (experience with other PLC platforms such as LS Electric and Omron is also beneficial).\nAlso, knowledge and experience in Visual Basic, SQL Query development, Rockwell/Allen Bradley Powerflex VFDs, and industrial DeviceNet/Ethernet network design would be a plus.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstrumentation, Electrical, PLC, and other control systems' support\nThe person will be responsible for configuring and programming of the PLC’s, data historian systems, operator interface or HMI screens, as well as, developing the scope, instrument specifications, procurement requisitions, installation, and commissioning of all the instrumentation and control systems equipment globally.\nThese activities include seeking and adapting new technology to increase quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency in manufacturing and pilot plants through increased automation levels.\nMaintain & improve existing instrumentation, PLC, and control systems at local sites\nMaintain control systems equipment, software, and hardware through direct involvement and setting up resources such as outside contractors, training other maintenance and operations personnel, etc. \nA close coordination with operations, process engineers, production engineers, and maintenance personnel will be required for the routine support to the plants.\nOT Network & Cybersecurity Management\nManage OT network infrastructure including Ethernet/IP, VLAN, and managed switches configurations.\nPerform OT security management using tools such as Tenable OT (asset inventory, vulnerability scanning, policy compliance).\nTroubleshoot communication issues between PLC/HMI/SCADA/Historian systems and ensure secure, stable data flow.\nImprovement to existing automation level in manufacturing\nProvides innovative & creative ideas, and seek out opportunities to introduce automation to the routine activities in manufacturing and pilot plants.\nDetermines the best control strategy for existing and new systems/processes.\nExpert advice to various groups on modern control systems and process data systems\nPlays a lead role in answering the questions and resolving the concerns related to process data systems, including help to various groups to interpret and understand the manufacturing data.\nChampions the changes (capital or non-capital) to improve performance in these areas\nKey knowledge, skills, and abilities:\nBusiness -
