We are considering candidates across a range of engineering disciplines and experience levels, from recent graduates and early-career engineers through experienced and senior-level professionals.\nDepending on your background and experience, you may support or lead the design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas purification systems and related technologies assembled at our San Luis Obispo facility. The original position supports the design and development of systems used in UHP gas purification applications.\nWe welcome candidates from engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Process, and other related engineering fields.\nPosition level and scope of responsibility will be determined based on the selected candidate's education, experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated capabilities.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDepending on your experience and area of expertise, responsibilities may include:\nSupport or lead the design, development, improvement, and implementation of products, processes, components, assemblies, equipment, or systems.\nDevelop technical concepts and solutions for new products and improvements to existing products and processes.\nPerform engineering calculations, analysis, evaluation, and troubleshooting to support product and manufacturing requirements.\nCreate, review, and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, test plans, reports, and other technical documentation.\nPlan, execute, and evaluate prototype builds, testing, validation, qualification, or other engineering activities.\nAnalyze technical and manufacturing data to identify issues, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions.\nWork collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.\nPartner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure products, components, equipment, and processes meet engineering and quality requirements.\nIdentify and implement improvements related to product performance, quality, reliability, manufacturability, safety, cost, and efficiency.\nManage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.\nFor more experienced candidates, provide technical leadership, lead projects, influence engineering decisions, mentor less-experienced engineers, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nPerform other engineering responsibilities and projects as assigned.\nWhat We Seek\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or another related engineering or technical discipline.\nEntry-level through senior-level engineering experience will be considered.\nStrong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to analyze data and apply engineering principles to solve technical or manufacturing challenges.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering and other functional teams.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities.\nDetail-oriented with sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work effectively in an environment where priorities, projects, and technical challenges may change.\nProficiency with SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.\nExperience with engineering design, CAD, testing, data analysis, manufacturing processes, process development, automation, continuous improvement, or discipline-specific engineering tools is a plus.\nFor early-career candidates, relevant internship, co-op, laboratory, project, or hands-on technical experience is a plus.\nFor experienced and senior candidates, demonstrated experience leading technical projects, solving complex engineering problems, influencing technical decisions, or mentoring others is preferred.\nWhy Work at Entegris?\nLead.
