This position will be based in our Reno, NV facility.\nIn this role, you will support scientists and engineers through laboratory operations, prototype fabrication, analytical testing, data collection, and equipment maintenance. The Engineering Technician plays a critical role in increasing R&D throughput and ensuring accurate, high-quality experimental results to support product development programs.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPerform analytical testing focused on materials science, including product performance, mechanical properties, rheological, particle characterization, and surface analysis methods. \nCollect, organize, and report experimental data using established documentation practices. \nPrepare chemical mixtures, polymer formulations, coatings, and laboratory samples according to established procedures. \nFabricate prototype materials and test specimens for development programs. \nOperate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining accurate records of testing activities. \nPerform routine equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities. \nSupport scientists and engineers in method development, process optimization, and prototype evaluation activities. \nMaintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S and good laboratory practices. \nAssist in the creation and revision of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and laboratory documentation. \nStrictly adhere to all safety requirements when handling chemicals, operating equipment, and conducting testing activities. \nWhat We Seek\nAssociates or BS degree in Science, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. \nHigh School Diploma or GED and applicable laboratory or industry experience may be considered in lieu of post-secondary degree. \nExperience working in an analytical testing laboratory, manufacturing environment, or R&D laboratory is preferred. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. \nExcellent organizational and documentation skills. \nMechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment. \nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and standard laboratory software. \nAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary technical team. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nCommitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace. \nWhy Work at Entegris\nLead.
