The Manufacturing Engineer will support the Hillsboro CMP Polishing Pads factory through data analytics, reporting, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Production Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and IT Teams to transform data into actionable insights that improve operational performance, product quality, and business decision-making. This position reports to the Director of Operations.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDevelop and maintain automated analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions using PowerBI, JMP, SQL, Ignition, MES, LIMs and other analytical technologies. \nProvide ad-hoc and one-time analytical support for manufacturing, engineering, production operations, and other teams within the Hillsboro Polishing Pads factory. \nAnalyze complex production, quality, and business datasets to help identify trends, opportunities, risks, and root causes. \nBuild interactive dashboards and KPI scorecards that provide visibility into operational performance and support data-driven decision making. \nDesign, develop, and maintain data models, views, and datasets within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, and related cloud-based data environments. \nCollaborate with IT and data engineering teams to develop scalable solutions and improve data accessibility. \nInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues by identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions with IT and business teams. \nSupport implementation and user adoption of analytical tools through training, documentation, and knowledge sharing. \nCommunicate analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences through presentations, reports, and dashboards. \nPromote data governance, data quality standards, and best practices across the site. \nStay current with emerging analytics, AI, automation, and visualization techniques and evaluate opportunities for business applications. \nParticipate as a member of a global engineering team to transfer best practices across sites and unit operations. \nImprove upon quality and utilization on automation equipment and processes. Develop plans and lead expansion of future equipment incorporating current learnings to allow for enhancement and advancement in subsequent equipment revisions. \nEffectively work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements that improve profitability, efficiency, and productivity in the manufacturing process. \nWhat We Seek:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field. (BSE + 8 years, MSE + 5 years, or PhD preferred; equivalent experience considered.) \n8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, manufacturing analytics, or operational analytics. \nStrong experience developing dashboards and reports using PowerBI \nExperience developing automated solutions using JMP, Python, or other software. \nAdvanced SQL skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets. \nHands on experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, databricks, etc) \nEffective skills designing and communicating data models, views, and reporting data sets. \nStrong understanding of data quality concepts, root cause analysis, and data validation techniques. \nProven ability to troubleshoot data pipeline data and data integration issues while partnering with IT teams. \nExperience supporting manufacturing or semiconductor facilities. \nStrong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and functional teams. \nSelf-motivated, customer focused, and able to work independently while leading cross-functional initiatives. \nCapital Project management experience is preferred. \nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred. \nWHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS? \nLead.
