systems across our manufacturing sites inMunmakandJangAn, Korea, supporting the Advanced Purity Solutions Division.\nIn this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, owning complex automation and controls initiatives from concept through implementation-ensuring safety, reliability, scalability, and measurable business impact.\nYou will partner closely with cross-functional and global teams to standardize automation platforms, accelerate deployment of strategic initiatives, and strengthen overall manufacturing performance.\nThis role reports to the Senior Director, Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Automation and is based inMunmak, Korea.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nOwndesign and integration of advanced automation systems and controls.\n\nLeadroot cause analysis and corrective actions for automation-related downtime, quality issues, and system failures.\n\nWrite, debug, and optimize PLC logic and HMI interfaces to improve cycle time, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).\n\nDevelop and implement automated inspection systems utilizing vision, sensors, and gauging to verify part presence, orientation, dimensional accuracy, and cosmetic quality.\n\nParticipantsin the development of networkstrategyon controlsstandardsandimprovement to legacyprogramsand connections to data systems\n\nSupportinternal system commissioning, validation, and acceptance testing.\n\nConduct risk assessments, safety validations, and compliance checks.\n\nOptimize automation for throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.\n\nTroubleshoot complex control systems and implement advanced diagnostics.\n\nMentor and train engineers and technicians on automation best practices.\n\nCollaborate with global teams to standardize automation platforms and processes.\n\nStay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements.\n\nTraveling to project sites for meetingsand start-up of controls systemswithinthe region.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWHAT WE SEEK\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or related engineering discipline\n\n8+ years of experience delivering automation and controls solutions in complex manufacturing environments\n\nExpert-level PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens) with proven ability to design, integrate, and optimize HMI/SCADA systems\n\nDeep understanding of industrial networks, machine safety, and controls standards governance\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with demonstratedsuccessresolving systemic automation issues\n\nProven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional results\n\nOUTSTANDING CANDIDATES WILL HAVE\nKnowledge of data analytics for smart manufacturing.\n\nExperience with Ignition software development and integration.\n\nExposure to cleanroom automation and high-precision assembly processes.\n\nProven track record of leading large-scale automation projects.\n\nAbility to influence automation strategy and drive continuous improvement.\n\nStrong English language
