In line with our PACE values, you will collaborate cross-functionally with technicians, scientists, engineers, leadership, sales, marketing and global technical teams to provide high quality, reliable data to the manufacturing team and other stakeholders.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEnsure lab has the proper resources and processes to report data accurately and timely to meet factory production schedules \nInstill safety culture in team to meet goal of zero recordable injuries. \nRecruit and hire new team members. \nProvide feedback, mentor and develop team members to help them meet their career goals. \nProvide training and training plans for team members. \nWork with Quality team to ensure all quality best practices are being implemented. LTS, SPC charts and MSA requirements are tracked and completed on time. \nMeet instrument uptime goals by ensuring we have the necessary trouble shooting skills, we provide timely maintenance, and PMs are completed on time. \nCollaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and R&D teams to support analytical requests and transition new products into production environment. \nProvide technical support to CQE, MQE, Product Managers and other customer facing teams \nManage lab expenses to meet plant budgetary goals. \nDevelop processes to improve lab capacity, efficiency, and reduce waste \nSupport audits (internal and external) as needed. \nAssist in Strategic Long-Range Planning to support factory 5-year roadmap. \nThis role is on-site in Oseong factory and supports 24x7 manufacturing facility. \nWhat we seek:\nBachelor of Science in chemistry, physics or engineering or related field required, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. \nAt least 5 years of relevant operational laboratory management experience as well as additional years of hands-on laboratory experience \nSolid knowledge of analytical chemistry, materials science & physics required. Familiarity with semiconductor device materials, structures, and metrology preferred. \nWorking knowledge of lab instruments operations and analysis. (HPLC, IC, GC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, FTIR, Raman, particle sizing instruments) \nAbility to create and manage project plans and timelines, define project deliverables, assign project team roles and resources, identify and track issues and their resolution, and manage project scope, creep, and requirements. \nFamiliarity with Good Lab Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices \nProficient in data analysis, statistical methods, and quality management systems. \nKnowledge of proper controls for analytical instrumentation, SPC, stability, accuracy, variation, and method uncertainty and GR&R required. \nUnderstands customer quality requirements and expectations and works to meet those goals. \nHands on experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology required. \nAbility to wear the required PPE when working in the labs (safety glasses, face shields, lab coat, steel toe boots, cleanroom garments etc.) \nPrior experience managing people and working w/ global teams \nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams to obtain buy-in from all stakeholders. \nStrong project management skills, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills are required. \nFlexible, internally driven individual that can support fast paced, constantly changing environment and a multitude of priorities \nAbility to travel occasionally.
