This role will support specialized graphite manufacturing processes, including silicon carbide conversion, coating, purification, and impregnation, within a highly technical industrial manufacturing environment.\nThe Decatur site plays a critical role in producing advanced graphite-based materials and components used across aerospace, semiconductor, medical, and consumer electronics applications. This position is ideal for an engineer or materials scientist who enjoys hands-on manufacturing support, process troubleshooting, and the opportunity to understand, characterize, and improve complex processes.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nImplement SPC and use statistical tools to monitor and improve process control.\n\nTroubleshoot manufacturing equipment failures and work with maintenance team to reduce unscheduled downtimes.\n\nDevelop preventive maintenance procedures for manufacturing equipment to proactively reduce equipment failures.\n\nLead manufacturing readiness for new product developments.\n\nDesign fixtures to improve process stability and reduce product variation.\n\nMaintain product quality and closelymonitorproduct performance.\n\nUse8Ddata driven approach toidentifyrootcausefor failures and corrective/preventative actions.\n\nCreate andmaintainprocess documentation, operating procedures, responseflowsand provide training to direct labor force.\n\nWHAT WE SEEK\nB.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Material Science,or similar\n\n3+ years of experience in operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of industrial chemical processes\n\nProficient in process equipment operation and troubleshooting - CVD tools, vacuum furnaces, batch processes, etc.\n\nExperience with ceramic materials preferred\n\nExperience with LEAN, DFM, SPC, and Six Sigma\n\nKnowledge of software for data analysis and presentation, Minitab preferred\n\nExperience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)preferred\n\nCapability to lead cross-functional teams to solve customer and process issues\n\nExcellent verbal and written communications skills\n\nAbility to present technical data to all levels of internal and customer organizations\n\nAbility to produce results when facing deadlines or commitments\n\nMust be self-motivated anda great teamworker\n\nDependable with flexibility to work shifts,over-time, and weekends to support business needs.\n\nWHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS?\nLead.
