This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.\nIn this exciting role, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for assisting in developing new, high purity, solid precursor delivery system for advanced node chemistries for the semiconductor industry. The role will also develop infrastructure that supports the builds, maintenance, and quality of the delivery containers. This position will also participate in the development of 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks of complex delivery systems, subassemblies, support equipment and precursor containers. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCoordinate project timelines with lead mechanical engineer New Product Development (NPD) management\nHands-on component assemblies for subassemblies and support equipment.\nManage change through cross-functional partnering in a global environment.\nDevelop factory infrastructure to support container builds, cleans, capacity and quality improvements.\nSupport alternative site factory build out - Entegris is building advanced deposition materials capabilities in other countries. This role will support the build out.\nConfirm component fitment, tolerance stack up, functionality, ease of assembly and use.\nQuote components and ordering parts directly with machine shops and outside vendors.\nSupport 2D drawings of components, subassemblies and bills of materials that are up to ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards.\nWork with the engineering team to create new part numbers, ECRs and other support documentation.\nWork safely and drive process improvements.\nCreate required documentation for new and modified containers and sub-components including drawings, bills of material, and part numbers.\nWhat We Seek\nDemonstrated experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving the semiconductor industry.\nIntroduce improvements in product performance and/or cost (value engineering).\nUnderstand Materials of Construction and how they interact in contact with corrosive chemicals.\nA fundamental knowledge of (vapor pressure, material stability, material compatibility, etc.) and thermodynamics (mass flow, etc.).\nExperience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and associated software.\nTenacity to drive projects to world class performance in a timely manner.\nWillingness to work in a team environment.\nProfessionalism, integrity, and high degree of accountability.\nSpeed of project implementation.\nSupport teams to develop creative solutions to technical problems is essential.\nStrong communication skills up, down, and across the organization with project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.\nDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year\nMechanical Engineering\nGraduation year 2027-2028\nEligibility\nMust be a currently enrolled student\nAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.\nMust be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program\nWhy Work at Entegris\nLead.
