The Quality Inspector I plays an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting safe and efficient operations, and collaborating with team members and production partners to meet organizational goals. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, enjoy analytical work, and are motivated to grow within a team-oriented environment\nWhat You’ll Do:\nInspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications using visual, mechanical, and measurement-based methods \nPerform measurement tests using tools such as calipers, pin gages, height gages, indicators, micrometers, optical comparators, smart scopes, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) \nApprove or reject product based on defined criteria; create quality notifications (QN) for nonconformances and document findings thoroughly \nCommunicate discrepancies promptly to supervisors and production teams, partnering to determine root causes and appropriate next steps \nComplete inspection reports, logs, and digital entries within quality databases and ERP systems such as SAP \nConduct process audits and perform capability studies to support continuous improvement and process stability \nKeep measurement equipment in good working order by following operation guidelines and reporting repair needs \nMaintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by following all standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements \nSupport cross-functional teams with data, insights, and collaborative problem solving to drive product and process excellence\nPerform additional duties as needed to support quality, production goals, and customer expectations\nWhat We Seek:\nHigh school diploma or GED required \n1-3 Years of quality/inspection in a manufacturing environment preferred \nAbility to read and understand documented processes and procedures \nCompetency in reading blueprints, technical specifications, and inspection documentation. \nExperience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, dial indicators, optical comparators, smart scopes, and CMM equipment \nFamiliarity with SAP, quality systems, or digital inspection tools preferred \nUnderstanding of statistical process control (SPC), basic chart interpretation, and capability analysis \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed \nAbility to stand or sit for extended periods while performing inspections\nManual dexterity to use precision measurement tools and handle small components\nAbility to work in manufacturing environments requires PPE such as safety glasses and steel toe shoes\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
