This position will be based in our Burnet facility.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and find ways to continuously improve the performance of manufacturing systems. You will use strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both suppliers and customers to achieve success.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDrive a “Safety First” culture by performing equipment, process, and behavioral inspections and implementing solutions to risks.\nContribute to the direction of the department in partnership with other senior members of the staff and management.\nRespond to internal customer concerns in a professional and technically competent manner to gain trust and confidence in our engineering strength.\nHands on troubleshooting of tactical issues with the manufacturing of our products and mentoring at all levels to push learning to factory personnel.\nLead projects to expand manufacturing capacity, transition products to high volume manufacturing, or implement continuous improvements to existing products.\nResponsible for control system documentation and initial operational procedures.\nProvide troubleshooting support to current manufacturing control systems.\nProgram and troubleshoot Allen Bradley & Omron PLCs along with HMIs;\nConduct design reviews for new equipment and modification to existing systems; Create, read, and red line electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.\nValidate and implement new software revisions with minimal impact on manufacturing.\nDevelop strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the manufacturing floor through automation.\nManage overall site PLC project list while utilizing contractor support as needed.\n10% domestic and international travel in support of various engineering projects.\nWhat We Seek\nElectrical Engineering or applicable degree is desired.\nChemical manufacturing or semiconductor controls experience.\nExperience with Chemical Synthesis and Distillation preferred.\nExperience in PLC/HMI programming on both Allen Bradley and Omron;\nAllen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC-500, PowerFlexVFD, PanelView HMI, and Stratix switches.\nOmron CJ series PLC, Omron NS and NT series HMIs;\nExperience with Allen Bradley RSView32, Panelbuilder32, FactoryTalk View, RSLogix, and RSLInx programming packages.\nExperience with Omron CX-One, and NT series support tool software packages.\nFunction Block (FB) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) programming experience preferred.\nAllen Bradley PlantPAX programming experience preferred.\nAllen Bradley LBSM programming experience desired.\nNetworking experience with Ethernet, RS-232, and RS-485 communications.\nExperience with SCADA systems and OPC servers.\nVisual Basic programming experience.\nKnowledge or experience with AC/DC power distribution, control/pneumatic; cabinet designs and layouts, to include electrical schematics.\nFamiliarity with Pressure, Vacuum, Temperature, Level, Flow and Weight Instrumentation.\nAbility to use a multimeter to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits.\nDemonstrated leadership ability.\nCapability of working independently.\nSkills to influence cross functionally.\nExcellent verbal and written communications skills.\nAbility to present technical data.\nAbility to produce results when facing deadlines or commitments.\nWhy Work at Entegris\nLead.
