The Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical hardware design, verification, troubleshooting, supplier coordination and lifecycle support for electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas purification equipment. In this role, you will provide technical direction across product development and manufacturing while working closely with control system designer/software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and global engineering teammates.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead electrical system architecture, design strategy, and technical decision-making for Gas Purification Systems, from concept through production release, sustainment, and customer deployment.\nDesign and technically review power distribution, control panels, electrical assemblies, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, I/O lists, and related engineering documentation and provide recommendations for approval in accordance with applicable document-control requirements.\nSize, select, and qualify electrical components, protection devices, sensors, instrumentation, and control hardware to meet system, safety, reliability, and lifecycle requirements.\nPerform electrical load calculations including load analysis, circuit protection reviews, cable sizing and voltage drop reviews.\nSupport thermal control system design and troubleshooting for heater, temperature sensing and over temperature protection applications.\nApply applicable electrical safety, machinery, semiconductor-equipment, regulatory, and customer requirements throughout design, verification, and product-change activities.\nDevelop electrical verification plans, validation protocols, test procedures, and acceptance criteria; evaluate results and support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup and field-service activities.\nLead root cause investigations involving electrical hardware, instrumentation, communication systems, thermal systems, and field failures. Define and drive corrective actions to closure.\nSupport critical customer escalations and manufacturing issues requiring advanced troubleshooting expertise.\nTroubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, communication, and control system issues both remotely and on-site.\nSupport integration of PLC-based control systems through validation, troubleshooting, diagnostics and commissioning activities.\nWork with component suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure products meet design requirements.\nLead and coordinate outsourced electrical design and panel-manufacturing activities, including requirements definition, design review, supplier issue resolution, qualification, deliverable acceptance, and verification of conformance.\nEvaluate alternative electrical components and technologies to support business continuity, product lifecycle and cost optimization objectives.\nGenerate and maintain BOMs, routings, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nLead assigned electrical engineering workstreams by defining scope, technical deliverables, risks, priorities, timelines, and status updates.\nParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, FMEA activities, and engineering problem-solving efforts.\nIdentify and implement improvements in product quality, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and operational efficiency.\nEstablish and improve electrical engineering standards, design guidelines, verification practices, and technical best practices.\nProvide technical guidance, design-review support, coaching and mentoring to engineers, designers and manufacturing technicians.\nDrive continuous improvement of electrical engineering standards, design practices, and technical governance.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBS Degree in Electrical Engineering\nMinimum 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, industrial controls, automation systems, semiconductor equipment, process equipment, or related industries.\nStrong understanding of electrical system design, power distribution, and industrial control systems.\nExperience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.\nExperience with electrical component selection, circuit protection, cable sizing and electrical calculations.\nHands-on experience supporting electrical troubleshooting and commissioning activities.\nWorking knowledge of relevant electrical design standards and codes such as UL508A, SEMI S2, NFPA, IEC, and CE requirements.\nExperience supporting product builds, FAT, SAT, equipment startup, production commissioning, or field troubleshooting activities.\nExperience managing or coordinating outsourced electrical design, control-panel fabrication, suppliers, panel builders, or contract manufacturing activities.\nExperience using CAD modeling program for electrical design and drafting (SolidWorks and Draftsight preferred)\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and technical decision making skills.\nExperience working with BOMs, engineering drawings, routings, and product documentation.\nAbility to lead technical workstreams, communicate technical risks and recommendations, and make engineering decisions with limited supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and influence engineering decisions across cross-functional teams.\nExcellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.\nExperience in semiconductor equipment design and manufacturing (desirable).\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and execute within aggressive timelines.\nAbility to effectively collaborate and communicate with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization.\nOutstanding Candidates Will Have:\nExtensive hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control panels and automation equipment.\nStrong ownership of electrical designs from concept through manufacturing release and customer deployment.\nProven ability to support product builds, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting in a production environment.\nExperience managing outsourced electrical design, panel fabrication, or contract manufacturing activities.\nExperience leading complex electrical failure investigations and corrective actions.\nStrong documentation and technical writing capability, including drawings, BOMs, test records, and engineering change documentation.\nExperience working in a global engineering environment with cross-site collaboration.\nExpertise in thermal control systems, temperature control applications, instrumentation, and industrial controls.\nAbility to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and management.\nDemonstrated problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive issues to closure
