The ideal candidate will work with autonomy and sound engineering judgment to lead supplier development, drive continuous improvement, and maintain robust quality systems for criticalresinsuppliers. The role requires strong collaboration with Commodity Management, Operations, R&D, and Customer Quality teams to ensure continuity of supply and rapid resolution of internal and customer issues related toresinquality, variability, and contamination control.\nIn this role you will:\nLead supplier quality activities forcommodity, engineering, and specialty polymers such as PE, PP, fluoropolymers, and other high-performance resin systems.\n\nDrive supplier performance improvement, including corrective actions, audits, process capability reviews, andpolymerizationprocess/formulation assessments (raw material handling, polymerization, compounding, mixing, extrusion, packaging, and contamination control processes).\n\nSupportresinqualifications, change management (MOC), and risk assessments for formulation changes, raw material changes, and supplier process changes.\n\nAnalyzeresinquality issues (impurities, particles, metals/ions, organics, stability, and performance) and lead robust root cause investigations (8D, 5-Why, fishbone, etc.).\n\nTechnical &ResinEngineering Responsibilities:\nUnderstand supplierresinmanufacturing processes (raw material handling, polymerization, compounding, mixing, extrusion, packaging, and contamination control processes) and how variability impacts downstream customer performance.\n\nDevelop and maintainresinspecifications, critical-to-quality requirements, certificates of analysis (COA) expectations, analytical test methods, and quality documentation.\n\nCollaborate withresinsuppliers on process improvements, capability studies, control plans, sampling strategies, and advanced quality planning activities.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to reduce batch-to-batch variation, improve yield, enhance reliability, and strengthenresinproduct performance.\n\nUnderstand continuous improvement methodologies, structured problem-solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA and apply them independently in role.\n\nAbility to analyze, synthesize, and summarize complex data sets to drive clear decision making and action.\n\nCross-Functional Leadership:\nPartner with Business Units, Procurement, R&D, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply for critical raw materials and formulated products.\n\nMonitor key supplier metrics and provide visibility and escalation to cross-functional teams when needed.\n\nParticipate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation strategies for criticalresinsuppliers and high-impact chemistries.\n\nTrain suppliers on key requirements and expectations, including Change Control and quality system standards.\n\nQualifications / Traits:\nBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering,Polymer Science,or related discipline.\n\nAdvanced degree optional; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt strongly preferred.\n\nExperience with supplier quality engineering forplastic/polymerraw materials and formulated products (PE, PP, fluoropolymers, and other high-performance resin systems) strongly preferred.\n\n5-7 years’ experience inplastic/polymermanufacturing, semiconductor chemicals, specialtyengineering plastic,chemicalmanufacturing, or other high-tech manufacturing industries.\n\nWorking knowledge ofresinquality systems and controls, including impurity/contamination control, analytical method capability, SPC systems, PFMEA, and control plan development.\n\nProficiency with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP, SAS, Camline).\n\nStrong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\n\nAbility to travel up to20% domestically or internationally.Traveltolocal manufacturing plantrequired.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
