The position reports into the Advanced Purity Solutions division within Entegris’ Micro-contamination Control division. This segment develops technologies that support development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.\nThis role will support the development of gas filter, diffuser, and point-of-use purifier products by conceiving, designing, and developing new prototypes in coordination with the R&D Media Development Team and Operations. The successful candidate should be familiar and comfortable with stage-gate processes for technology development and new product introduction, including creating product designs, layouts, and documentation that meet requirements and support improvement initiatives for both new and existing products. The role will also collaborate with domestic and international company resources and vendors to move new concepts from prototype through production.\nResponsibilities:\nLead projects related to technology development and new product introduction through stage-gate process, as it relates to component prototype development for ultra-high purity gas filtration/diffuser/point-of-use purifier technology. \nConceptualize, design and develop prototypes with special emphasis on high-purity processes and technologies. Generate intellectual property, and characterize prototype performance through structured testing, data analysis and documented technical findings. \nDesign, build, and qualify laboratory equipment, fixtures, and tooling. Support the evaluation, selection, and procurement of external capital equipment for product and process improvement initiatives. \nProvide documentation support such as creating/maintaining drawings, SOPs, test procedures, test data. \nPerforms wide variety of hands-on testing and development tasks as needed \nAssist in performing root cause analysis on quality issues on new and existing products. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing department. \nCollaborate with customers to define performance requirements, design and develop new products, and validate product performance through testing and modeling. \nQualifications and Preferred Skills:\nBS in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, 5+ years of experience; MS in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, 3+ years of experience. \nFamiliarity with ASME Section VIII or similar pressure vessel codes is highly preferred \nProfessional Engineer Certification, or ability to obtain one, a plus \nExperience with CFD/FEA preferred. \nStrong data analysis skills with Excel and Minitab \nStrong AI/Copilot skills \nKnowledge or experience in engineering design practices, solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, and creating manufacturing drawings for use in producing prototype components. \nAbility to design, fabricate, and qualify tooling and equipment used in the manufacture and testing of products. Hands-on experience using various machine shop tools, processes, equipment, etc. would be a plus. \nAbility to design and fabricate process/test equipment used for product testing/production. \nKnowledge in semiconductor hardware and systems a plus. Previous experience with filtration media, fluid dynamics, or high-purity gas systems a strong advantage. \nExperience driving engineering deliverables through structured stage-gate processes, including requirements definition, concept evaluation, design freeze, prototype build, DFMEA/CFMEA, validation, and production readiness. \nBeing highly motivated, and able to work independently, as well as in a cross-functional team environment. \nExcellent communication/presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and across all functional areas; \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer-oriented working environment; \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. \nAble to lift 50lbs. \nAble to move between different office buildings in a Campus-style work environment. \nWHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS? \nLead.
