process performance, operational efficiency, and customer value.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nControls System Design & Digital Architecture\nDesign and develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, and edge-computing solutions for advanced industrial automation. \nArchitect connected control systems that enable secure data collection, analytics, and AI-driven decision making. \nDesign new equipment and process automation platforms from concept through deployment using model-based and systems engineering approaches. \nCreate electrical schematics, control panel layouts, network architecture, and system documentation using CAD and engineering tools. \nDevelop reusable software frameworks, standards, and modular automation architectures to accelerate future product development. \nSupport digital twin initiatives by defining control system interfaces, process models, and simulation strategies. \nIntelligent Automation & System Integration\nDevelop, test, and troubleshoot PLC applications using Rockwell, Schneider, or equivalent industrial control platforms. \nIntegrate sensors, instrumentation, analyzers, vision systems, robotics, and smart devices into automated production systems. \nImplement connectivity solutions using industrial protocols and modern data architectures to support AI and analytics initiatives. \nCollaborate with software, data, and product teams to enable predictive maintenance, process monitoring, and operational intelligence capabilities. \nSupport field service and customer-facing teams with commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. \nLeverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting effectiveness, and knowledge capture. \nDigital Twins & Virtual Commissioning \nIndustrial Data Architecture & AI Readiness \nAI-Assisted Engineering and Knowledge Capture \nAutonomous Process Optimization \nData, Analytics & AI Enablement\nIdentify opportunities to utilize operational data for process optimization, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and reliability improvement in an OEM environment. \nDevelop strategies for collecting, contextualizing, and managing equipment and process data for enterprise analytics platforms. \nCollaborate with digital transformation, software, and data science teams on AI-enabled solutions that improve equipment and process performance. \nEnsure equipment designs generate high-quality operational data suitable for machine learning and advanced analytics applications. \nSupport creation and maintenance of digital twins, simulation environments, and virtual commissioning capabilities. \nTechnical Leadership & Project Execution\nLead automation and controls projects from requirements definition through commissioning and lifecycle support. \nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians across the organization. \nRepresent Controls Engineering in cross-functional product development, manufacturing, quality, and customer engagement activities. \nContribute to organizational standards, engineering best practices, and strategic technology roadmaps. \nDrive adoption of modern engineering tools, AI-assisted workflows, and digital engineering practices. \nVerification, Validation & Commissioning\nLead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities. \nDevelop automated testing strategies and validation methodologies where practical. \nEnsure compliance with performance requirements, safety standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory expectations. \nSupport virtual testing and simulation-based validation approaches to reduce development risk and accelerate deployment. \nDocumentation & Knowledge Management\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including: \nControl narratives \nFunctional specifications \nSoftware architecture documents \nElectrical drawings \nInstrumentation documentation \nTest plans and validation records \nUser and maintenance manuals \nCreate structured engineering knowledge assets suitable for enterprise search, AI assistants, and future knowledge transfer. \nPromote best practices in technical documentation and digital knowledge preservation. \nAny other duties as assigned.\nWhat We Seek:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline. \nExperience:\n7+ years of industrial automation, controls engineering or process automation experience. \nDemonstrated experience delivering automation projects from concept through deployment. \nStrong experience with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA systems, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). \nExperience working in highly regulated, quality-focused manufacturing environments. \nTechnical Skills\nStrong proficiency with: \nRockwell Automation \nSiemens Automation platforms \nStudio 5000 \nTIA Portal \nSCADA/Historian platforms \nIndustrial networking technologies \nExperience with: \nEtherNet/IP \nOPC UA \nModbus \nProfinet \nIndustrial cybersecurity principles \nProficiency with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and SolidWorks Electrical. \nKnowledge of: \nNFPA 79 \nIEC 61131 \nIEC 61508 \nISA standards \nOSHA requirements \nIndustrial cybersecurity frameworks \nPreferred:\nExperience with Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives. \nExperience developing or supporting digital twin environments and simulation platforms. \nFamiliarity with machine learning, data analytics, or AI-enabled industrial applications. \nExperience integrating manufacturing systems with MES, ERP, cloud, or enterprise data platforms. \nExperience with robotics, machine vision, advanced motion control, or autonomous systems. \nExperience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. \nExperience in semiconductor, advanced materials, filtration, purification, or specialty process industries is highly desirable. \nLeadership Competencies:\nDemonstrates technical leadership
