This role will help mature the quality system and process controls required to support an expanding semiconductor manufacturing business and its planned production ramp.\nYou will work across injection molding, assembly, cleaning, inspection, and final packaging operations to strengthen process discipline, reduce variation, build preventive controls, and ensure products consistently meet internal and customer requirements. The position combines hands-on floor support with development of the quality planning, statistical controls, procedures, training, and reaction systems needed for reliable high-volume manufacturing.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing quality engineer who can independently lead complex problem solving, influence cross-functional teams, and translate process and product risk into practical controls.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn and mature process-control strategies across injection molding, assembly, cleaning, inspection, and final packaging operations. \nDevelop, implement, and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, process flows, inspection plans, work instructions, sampling plans, and reaction plans. \nEstablish and improve SPC monitoring for critical product and process characteristics; analyze trends, capability, variation, and defect data to drive preventive action. \nPartner with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to define process windows, validate controls, improve error proofing, and strengthen adherence to standard work. \nLead complex investigations involving customer complaints, nonconforming material, internal defects, escapes, and process deviations using structured root cause and corrective-action methods. \nDrive containment, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and recurrence prevention through 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, fault-tree, or equivalent methodologies. \nSupport qualification and manufacturing-readiness activities for new equipment, tools, automation, products, and process changes, including MSA, GR&R, capability studies, and validation documentation. \nBuild and maintain quality procedures, inspection documentation, acceptance criteria, visual standards, and performance metrics as the FOUP quality system matures. \nConduct layered process audits and quality-system audits across molding, assembly, cleaning, and packaging; identify gaps and partner with operations to close them. \nPartner with Operations and Training to strengthen operator qualification, defect recognition, process discipline, and reaction-plan execution during workforce and production ramp. \nProvide quality engineering support for product disposition, deviation assessment, change management, and risk-based decision making. \nCommunicate quality risks, process performance, investigation results, and improvement priorities to leadership, cross-functional teams, customers, and auditors. \nSupport customer-quality activities, qualification data packages, audits, scorecards, and technical responses as required. \nUse data to prioritize improvement projects that reduce defects, scrap, rework, and variation while improving yield, throughput, cleanliness, and customer confidence. \nWhat We Seek\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline. \nMinimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; 3 years with a master's degree; or equivalent work experience. \nExperience applying quality engineering tools in a manufacturing environment, including PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, GR&R, process capability, root cause analysis, and corrective action. \nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional investigations and convert data into practical, sustainable process controls. \nExperience creating or improving procedures, work instructions, inspection methods, quality plans, and performance metrics. \nAbility to work independently, exercise sound technical judgment, and lead work that affects major site programs or manufacturing ramp objectives. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt technical information for operations, engineering, leadership, customers, and auditors. \nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software such as Minitab or JMP. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with plastic injection molding, molded-component quality, tooling qualification, or molding-process control. \nExperience supporting assembly, cleanroom cleaning, contamination control, final inspection, and packaging operations. \nExperience in semiconductor, high-purity manufacturing, medical device, automotive, or another disciplined manufacturing environment. \nKnowledge of visual inspection systems, CMMs, optical comparators, automated vision, dimensional metrology, leak or functional testing, and measurement-system analysis. \nExperience supporting production scale-up, manufacturing ramp, new product introduction, APQP, PPAP, or process validation. \nExperience with SAP, camLine, EtQ, MES, or comparable manufacturing and quality systems. \nASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred. \nSuccess in This Role\nYou improve process control before defects reach the customer. \nYou balance hands-on floor engagement with disciplined QMS and documentation development. \nYou use SPC, risk analysis, and structured problem solving to move decisions from opinion to evidence. \nYou build trust across Operations, Engineering, Training, Metrology, and Customer Quality. \nYou communicate risks early and follow corrective actions through verified effectiveness. \nWork Conditions & Physical Requirements\nEnvironmental / Work Conditions\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety eyewear on the manufacturing floor and cleanroom garments where required.
