The ideal candidate willdemonstratecreativity and innovation whilemanagingmultiple projectssimultaneouslyin a fast-pacedenvironment.\nWhatYou’llDo:\nSynthesize organic ligands, andmain group/organometallic products consisting of phosphorus, silicon, and othermain-group/transition metals;\n\nQuicklyidentifysuitableroutes to newtargets anddeterminefeasibilitywith bench-scale experiments;\n\nUse design of experiment methodologies to effectively and efficiently generate results that lead to valid conclusions;\n\nUnderstand and optimizekeyreactionparameters to supportprocess development;\n\nWork with process engineers and scientists to support scale-upactivities, whichincludesaddressing reaction kinetics, chemical equilibriums, materials compatibility, thermodynamics, and mixing;\n\nDocument experiments and results in an electronic laboratory notebook;\n\nPrepare summary presentations for internal team meetings, business updates,and customers;\n\nWork independentlyand alsocollaborate with peers and on cross-functional teams to achievelong-termprojectobjectives;\n\nWhat We Seek:\nOrganometallic/Main-group synthetic chemist with versatile skillset and an ability to learn newchemistriesand methods.\n\nPh.D. in organometallic/main-group chemistry or related disciplinerequired;\n\nPost doctorate in organometallic chemistry or related discipline preferred;\n\nStrong experience with both classic and modern bench-scale organometallic synthetic chemistry techniques;\n\nComfort and familiarity with handling air-sensitive materials (i.e.using Schlenk lines and glove boxes);\n\nExperience interpretingcomplexanalytical results, such as NMR, GC, GC-MS, HPLC,etc;\n\nIndependent and motivatedteam-player with strong interpersonal skills\n\nExcellentorganizational skills and meticulous documentation habitswith strong attention to detail;\n\nStrong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting results to internal and external stakeholders;\n\nAbility to advance multiple work tasks simultaneously towardscompletinglong-termdeliverableswithinstrictdeadlines;\n\nOutstandingCandidatesWillHave:\nPh.D. in organometallic/main group chemistry with 3+ years of industrial experience in chemical product development or manufacturing;\n\nFirst-hand experience withchemical scale-up and optimization;\n\nExperience with design of experiment (DOE) statistical methods and tools;\n\nDemonstrated strong safety record and understanding and application of H&S principles in a laboratory environment\n\nWhat We Offer:\nAt Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity for our employees and promotion from within.
