This role uses Java, Spring, React, and modern web technologies aligned with current industry security standards. The qualified candidate will work with minimal supervision, apply sound technical judgment, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.\nResponsibilities:\nApplication Development:\nDesign, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain high-performing, secure applications and services using Java, Spring, and React.\n\nBuild secure products and deploy software solutions that enhance user experiences.\n\nApply secure development life cycle practices, threat modelling, and web application security assessment techniques.\n\nParticipate in system architecture, optimization of existing systems, code reviews, requirements definition, and documentation.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.\n\nApply Agile (Scrum) methodology to track progress and support consistent project standards.\n\nContribute to team planning and estimation by defining task breakdowns, timelines, and effort requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain automation and CI/CD environments.\n\nWork independently on project assignments with minimal supervision.\n\nExhibit a process-oriented mindset.\n\nCollaborate with colleagues and share skills with other Entrust teams.\n\nBasic Qualifications, Skills & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or an equivalent technology discipline.\n\n3+ years of relevant software development experience creating business applications.\n\n3+ years of Java and Spring development experience, preferably using JDK 21 or later.\n\n2+ years of experience with React and RESTful web services.\n\n2+ year of experience building SaaS products, preferably on AWS.\n\nHands-on experience with VS Code, IntelliJ, Jira, and/or similar tools.\n\nBackground developing multi-threaded applications.\n\nExposure to AI tools and Copilot-based development workflows.\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.\n\nExperience tuning application performance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience:\nSpring Boot and Spring Security experience.\n\nFamiliarity with AWS Lambda functions, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, JPA, and Linux.\n\nExperience with SSO and SAML 2.0.\n\nExperience working in an SDLC environment.\n\nUnderstanding of business objects, layered design, data access objects, and design patterns.\n\nKnowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and SQL languages.\n\nUnderstanding of software security concepts, including cryptography and obfuscation.\n\nExperience developing commercial or external software products.\n\nSmartcard technology experience.\n\nExperience with Agile methodologies and related tools.\n\nFuture Projects & Key Initiatives:\nHelp the development team evolve the architecture and technology stack of our cloud solution to support vertical and horizontal scalability.\n\nIdentify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results faster.\n\nMake meaningful contributions by helping the team design and develop solutions aligned with the product vision while staying current with industry trends and technologies.\n\nWork Location: This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in-office at our headquarters in Shakopee, MN. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
